1st of all, settle down and hop of her dick so we can have a conversation wink

And last time I checked "Emotion" wasn't talking about no "walls tumbling down". So no, sorry, I don't see how it was "FAR" less apporpriate confused

She doesn't have a dick, and I don't have to settle down or anything else you think I should. You can, however, jump your happy ass off my quote button if you don't like my font. biggrin

"Emotion" is a break-up song, the video of which depicts Beyoncé throwing bleach on her soon-to-be ex-boyfriend's clothing. The lyrics make it fairly obvious that the relationship is ending due to infidelity. The only part that can really be applied to the situation is the chorus, "In the words of a broken heart, it's just emotion that's taken me over / Caught up in sorrow, lost in my soul" and even that's only three lines. At the very least, "Halo" always had a tinge of death and sadness in the lyrics.

Then stop acting like you're dick whipped and accept the fact that folks will talk about your precious "Beysus" razz And honestly dude, I couldn't give two shits enough to like or dislike about your font, I jumped my "happy ass" however on the quote button to understand the reason behind the earlier seizure fit. If anybody in this whole thread had their crusty panties in a bunch, it was you dear wink

As for "Emotion", thank you for putting emphasis on my earlier point(hence, the bald part).

I know dumb bitches like yourself will talk about Beysus, however, I can and will talk right back. Now as I asked before, do you have a problem?
And as I said previously, I don't have to stop acting like anything. And I can't tell that you don't give "two shits", cause you're still fucking my quote button like it really is pussy. neutral I don't remember asking for your sub-opinion on my opinion, which is why you're being dealt with in such a nonchalant manner.

All of "Halo" could be applied to a dire situation, save "You're the only one that I want... Gravity can't begin to pull me back to the ground again". The "walls" weren't literal in the first place, the song is not about architecture.

Oh, and dead at "bald part". GORAL, calm down and proofread.

[Edited 1/29/10 15:42pm]
iSnatch, iRead, iDrag. For Beysus and in general. Simple.

whew.... eek

Well all I can see is that Beyonce has been picking inappropriate songs from her catalog for about a decade now. Whoever said earlier, if she would take her gorgeous voice and find some songs of substance to "write", it would be a better option for her. Shit, what if she hadn't covered At Last, what was she going to sing at the inauguration then.....Upgrade U?

If that was her most "poignant" song choice after 4 Destiny's Child's albums and 3 solo albums, then she needs to upgrade herself big time.

edited cuz the spelling police are out and about....

Remember that commercial she did using that song? I think it was for cable TV or something. I thought it was the most vulgar image for advertising I'd ever seen. I could have sworn she didn't have on any draws, what with that gold microchip shit she had on. Guess I'm an old-fashioned prude because I have a problem with all that twat thrusting, pussy popping/pumping and grinding that she seems to favor.

Wow,,,her people must really hate her guts for letting her to be the dumb ass that she is disbelief

I'm not surprised. It reminds me of the time she sang "Ring The Alarm" with sirens going off on The View in NYC on the anniversary of 9/11. Now, I'm not going to pretend that I'm all offended by these things, but it makes me wonder if she or anybody in her crew even realizes the inappropriateness or do they just not care??

BlaqueKnight said:

See, this is what happens when you have no songs of substance in your repertoire.
Hopefully, she will find it in herself to realize this and demand more but most likely if she did, the label would just buy her something new and pretty and pat her on the head and say "don't worry about it."

I also thought that her blingy jacket was inappropriate, too. Everybody else dressed rather modestly or without much flash, but she had to appear with all that glitter shit. Too much.

I think it is more appropriate to cover a song, as it makes it less about self promotion and can be seen as an homage to another. I thought Shakira's cover of I'll Stand By You was the most appropriate Diva moment of the night.

I guess she wanted to be apart of something being done for a worthy cause! Most of her songs are about relationship issues while she's doing her booty shaking dances, she didn't have much of a choice. At least she didn't drop down and get her eagle on... confused

Seriously though, had she sang that song right after 9/11,,,,they would've escorted her confused ass to the nearest exist before she even finishes the performance.

Would they have escorted her to the nearest "exist"? Or are you just fonting out of your ass? I mean Beyoncé's Child sang "Emotion" after 9/11 and that was FAR less appropriate than "Halo" would be, yet nobody seemed to care. So what are you giving again?
