She's good at stuff like that. Remember when she sang Halo to this poor girl with cancer only to shove her off stage half way through?

See, this is what happens when you have no songs of substance in your repertoire.
Hopefully, she will find it in herself to realize this and demand more but most likely if she did, the label would just buy her something new and pretty and pat her on the head and say "don't worry about it."

Sad but true.

I love this thread! lol

I'll agree w/ some and say she have sung a cover b/c hearing "Halo" constantly for multiple situations is just annoying.

It's not as bad as when she did that show for 9/11 a few months ago and sang Diva, complete with airplane move and all. Now that was some doofusness!

Identity

'Halo" is a wretched song made worse by off-key caterwauling. That it has been nominated for 2 Grammys is a sad commentary on the state of pop music.

No, it isn't. It doesn't exactly fit the occasion but then again, neither did a lot of songs.
And she was one of five performers to sing a song from their own catalog, so you can ALL sit that ass down and shut that shit up.

That's the problem with "Hope For Haiti" or any of these charity events. You could probably pick apart any song. Can't go uptempo, unless you're Sting or Wycelf.

Seriously though, had she sang that song right after 9/11,,,,they would've escorted her confused ass to the nearest exist before she even finishes the performance.

Would they have escorted her to the nearest "exist"? Or are you just fonting out of your ass? I mean Beyoncé's Child sang "Emotion" after 9/11 and that was FAR less appropriate than "Halo" would be, yet nobody seemed to care. So what are you giving again?

1st of all, settle down and hop of her dick so we can have a conversation wink

And last time I checked "Emotion" wasn't talking about no "walls tumbling down". So no, sorry, I don't see how it was "FAR" less apporpriate confused

She doesn't have a dick, and I don't have to settle down or anything else you think I should. You can, however, jump your happy ass off my quote button if you don't like my font. biggrin

"Emotion" is a break-up song, the video of which depicts Beyoncé throwing bleach on her soon-to-be ex-boyfriend's clothing. The lyrics make it fairly obvious that the relationship is ending due to infidelity. The only part that can really be applied to the situation is the chorus, "In the words of a broken heart, it's just emotion that's taken me over / Caught up in sorrow, lost in my soul" and even that's only three lines. At the very least, "Halo" always had a tinge of death and sadness in the lyrics.
