The female modern day mozart?



If a = b and b = c then a = c. This means if Lady Gaga is
the female version of Prince and Prince is the modern day
Mozart, Lady Gaga is the female modern day Mozart.


For such a short period of time in her career she has made
an enormous splash. She's openned up for Barack Obama, arguably
the most powerful ineffective one-time super-majority President
in the world behind Pat Robertson and
Rush Limbaugh. Moreover, Lady Gaga has pushed the envelope
on musical content. Where Kenny Rogers only hinted at a Gambling
game (in the song "The Gambler"), he never mentions what game
he's playing. He only coyly hints at the fact that it's poker.
Lady Gaga pushed the envelope and said the word "Poker" where
Kenny wasn't brave enough to.

Like Madonna and Britney before her, She's incorporated elements
of hip hop into her music. However, she's taken the formula even
one amazing leap further by doing it and singing in key.

When the big 5 companies crumble under the pressure of changes
in the musical landscape, when Prince's career finally succumbs
to self-implosion in the name of the purple and gold, and when
The Olson twins finally land on Celebrity Fit Club looking like
Kelly Labrock of Wierd Science fame, there will still be Lady
Gaga.

When reading the first two lines, I nearly dropped my coffee mug.

It would probably have to be dealt logically in a bit more sophisticated manner than that.

People calling Prince the modern day Mozart is due to a set of attributes that the two individuals and their musical works have shared. If Lady Gaga could be said to have those same attributes to her, then I guess it could be reasonable to make such a statement regarding her as well. However, if Lady Gaga shares for the most part a different set of attributes with Prince and those do not apply to Mozart on his part, then the logical conclusion you're proposing in this case is invalid.

I'm getting a sense here that folks don't think she's quite the
modern day Mozart, but perhaps more of a Beethoven or Brahms.

You can see where Lady Gaga has intimidated Madonna into singer better, lately.





Now if only Janet could sing better, but alas--Lady Gaga is a talented woman--not a miracle worker.
