I am a TLC girl myself, but SWV had stronger pipes.

TLC for CrazySexyCool. None of SWVs albums could come close to that one (neither can any of the TLC albums either).

How many cds did SWV put out?

SWV for me. I tired of both groups after their respective first albums, but SWV had the better singles from theirs.

I loved SWV but it's TLC all the way for me too.

Neither I chose EnVogue.

I like them both but if it's a case of looks versus vocals then of course TLC wins.


What about that girl group that sang "Don't Go Away"? I think they were MJ proteges. They were very cute and could sing.

SWV had 3 studio albums, 1 Christmas album, 3 Greatest Hits packages, and 1 Remix EP. So 3 real albums of original material. Eh, not bad I suppose. They still put time/work into that, plus the Christmas album. "Weak" was a #1 song on the US charts, and songs like "Right Here/Human Nature" & "Downtown" made it to #2. There were a few other top 10 hits on the US charts

TLC had 4 studio albums, 3 compilation/Greatest Hits packages, four #1 singles on the US charts. But here's the other kicker: They were on several other people's songs, or soundtracks. They were on the soundtracks of Boomerang, Poetic Justice, Home alone 2, A LaFace Christmas, Waiting To Exhale, All That, This Christmas. They were on Missy's album Under Construction, and Lisa had a solo song in 2009 (!) with Missy and TLC. They have a pretty good videography as well.

So based on that, TLC was the bigger success. BUT on an artistic level and who I love more.....TLC.

I liked them both, but I gotta go with SWV, on the strength of "Use You Heart," and "Right Here (Human Nature Remix)". There were no TLC songs that I liked as much.
I will say TLC had better music videos though.
