 I'm feelin' ya on that one.  I've come to realize, with a bit of help from the org, but mainly from talks w/ friends and my own hindsight, that Beyonce is a lot of fluff. Her best songs are ones that are sampled from other people (Bootylicious, Crazy In Love, Deja Vu). Her B-list songs are okay (Single Ladies (which she didn't write despite her lying dumb ass saying the opposite in concerts and in the press), Irreplaceable, Get Me Bodied), but her C-list songs are just reprehensible (Freak Um Dress, Baby Boy, Me Myself & I, that Shitkira disaster, Ring The Alarm, etc).
Her best work was Dreamgirls ONLY because she wasn't using some shit hop beat, some shit hop producer, and it wasn't just percussion and her voice. It was a REAL track with REAL instruments and a REAL arrangement, etc. FAIL in multiple directions because Déjà Vu had no samples, she DID write "Single Ladies" along with The-Nightmare, as he SAID HIMSELF right before she destroyed the AMA stage with it in 2008, and Me, Myself, and I > Bootylicious. Not to mention B'Day > Dreamgirls. Hell, the Carmen soundtrack > Dreamgirls. That kind of flop-ass logic smacks of someone who thinks that "real music" exists and somehow died in 1980.
