However, Like I love You is pretty good. Neither are nearly as good as the best 5 songs on Invincible, but since they're performed by Justin Timberlake, of course they are more popular. People need to use common sense... Thank you! This is probably the best post on this thread.

You're the one making "loser" statements if you seriously believe that only YOU and a few others can speak on MJ. Your personal opinions don't carry any more weight than anybody else's personal opinion. I ain't asking nobody jack. I don't know you from Adam and your opinion on MJ's music is worth the same 2 cents as anybody else posting in these forums. What kind of damn fool brags about being an MJ expert on a Prince website anyhow?

To be honest, I think MJ rejecting some songs on Justified was a good idea. I can't see MJ singing those kinds of songs. They do not fit his voice. If the Neptunes would have worked with Mike, those songs they produced with Justin, will not be the ones MJ will used. I read somewhere that Missy worked with MJ, not Timbaland. Vince would have been a great (it is a good cd) cd if some of those slow songs were not on the cd.

Still, if I hear one more release from Justified that I like, I may have to break my ban on boybands-and-their-spinoffs and cop this.
And as far as the album being filled with songs MJ rejected... umm, maybe MJ should have kept those songs... may have made Invincible more invincible. But would those same songs have been a hit if MJ had recorded them? MJ's image is so bad in the public eye right now that a lot of people just think of him as a freak. MJ tried to hook up with the younger generation of pop singers by making guest appearances with them and inviting them to his special. Then the young 'uns took what they learned from him and left him in the dust on their way to the top. Personally,I don't care if the songs become "hits" or not,I still would choose a MJ song over a Justin song anyday.Justin's vocals are dry and soul-less,imo,and I can't stand to listen to him for more than a few seconds.MJ,on the other hand,is a legendary artist with obvious talent.I would choose "Butterflies" over "Cry Me A River" anyday. "Hottest" member of the "hottest" most bankable boyband (full of crossover appeal) = plenty of label support and financial push = "hottest" tracks produced by the "hottest" producers.
All well and good but as an individual artist he does zero for me so I'm not interested. [This message was edited Wed Jan 22 18:54:07 PST 2003 by Essence]
