I'd say Michael Jackson wins this time. Even though I hate to admit it.
How come Elvis is not on the list?

P.S. I'm young too, but I know my history, dammit. I took one look at that list and there is absolutely no competition what so ever to compare up against Sammy Davis, Jr. [Edited 12/27/09 15:27pm]

The Beatles were the greatest song writers . They hardly ever played live after '65 . JAMES BROWN WAS THE GREATEST ENTERTAINER EVER. He was the best . I'm a child of the '80s but you have to give it up for JB. He did more shows than anyone on that list . . . BY A LOT. He could sing dance and write great songs.

midiscover said: Out of this list I'll go with James Brown then MJ. To me James Brown defined entertainment. He just had it all from his off the wall stage persona to his high energy dancing. MJ for his visually appealing shows.
at the Beatles and Madonna even being throwin in the mix. Anyways, Janet and Prince shits all over this list That's all. Without the Beatles, there is no Prince .

I'm one of those guilty of calling Madonna "the Queen of Pop", but I do consider her that, but she's not a great entertainer.
Love the Beatles songs and their productions with George Martin are legendary and innovative, but I would want to see them in concert, Paul MacCartney show put me to sleep. I love and respect that the Rolling Stones are still going strong and can outperform kids half their age, that's all I have to say, I would've rather saw Queen in concert. I'm reading that people aren't familiar with Sammy Davis Jr.???? Where the hell have you been? Some folks need a damn history lesson. Keep your ass in school. Sammy Davis was a great entertainer, great singer and actor (both funny and dramatic), but lets cut the bullshit, it's between JB and MJ. I'm a huge MJ fan, grew up on him, I know his catalog, I've seen all of his concert footage, but if MJ and JB were (in their prime..JB on TAMI show and MJ on Victory Tour) coming to my town to perform, and somebody was handing me free tickets to see both but I had to choose one...sorry, but I'm choosing JB without thinking. JB was the teacher and MJ was the student, solid band, great footwork, MJ sorta copied JB's energy on stage. Also, where's Stevie? Where's Tina? Where's Jackie? Elvis should be on the list because he had great stage presence, even past his prime.

Also, I agree that Janet should be on that list. She is indeed one of the greatest entertainers, based on her success with eclecticism like Sammy. But the best is still Michael. He may not have done as many movies as Janet or Sammy, but he could have, since he really wanted to and studied films and cinematography. If only he was able to be Peter Pan in a movie by Spielberg like he planned in '83-84. He also wanted to play Edward Scissorhands, but didn't get chosen. After The Wiz, starring in feature films just didn't happen for him. "You put water into a cup, it becomes the cup...Now water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend." - Bruce Lee

I think MJ would say Sammy Davis Jr. No matter what you crazy MJ stans (I'm one too) think, he never entertained during segregation.
I think I may have been, I guess I was, the Michael Jackson of the 50s. - Sammy Davis Jr.

Who the hell voted for The Beatles of that list? They gave entertaining interviews but as a live band they were no better than anyone else.
