Amy Winehouse or Adele? I love both ladies, but I have to give the edge to Amy. "Lack of home training crosses all boundaries."

Adele has a better voice of course, but with 2 albums out I do like more songs by Amy. Adele could catch up though (if Amy keeps fucking up!)

Amy , by a landslide
Adele can't even evoke even 1 % of the emotions that Amy can imo and besides that , she sings her songs live the same as she does on record You might as well just play the cd [Edited 12/14/09 1:39am]

^ hell no , she sounds constipated with that contrived singing style
and she's a complete fake , a product marketed by the record industry [Edited 12/14/09 12:21pm]

To each his own. Adele bores me to tears and Amy's personality turns me off. Feel free to join in the Prince Album Poll 2018! Let'a celebrate his legacy by counting down the most beloved Prince albums, as decided by you!

Anyway I love both, but Amy's songs are so much more powerful to me, I hope she can make another album. 2012: The Queen Returns

Amy by far.
And I agree that while I like the production behind Duffy's Rockferry album a lot, she's definitely not genuine after having seen her live a few times.

What do you mean by not genuine? She can't sing live? "Lack of home training crosses all boundaries."

Duffy's voice is fine live (although a little more nasal than on record), but her moves and mannerisms just seemed fake to me. She was clearly an actor trying to play the part of a retro soul singer.

Amy, definitely. At the time, I thought Back To Black was the best new album I had heard in years. I don't care for Adele's music or voice at all...so boring.

There's something to Amy's voice. I don't know what it is. Just like Whitney...even when she's not at her best vocal wise...there's something to it. That's GOD given
