I loved "When I Think Of You", because I always loved what Julien Temple did with the "one shot" technique in that, although it was five shots (and a couple of the transitions are obvious, but it works). The same goes for "Rock With U", which had the same "continuous" feel.
I think a lot of Janet videos are very artful. Stuff like "Got 'Til It's Gone", "That's The Way Love Goes", "Together Again", "If", "Any Time, Any Place" have a depth of color, texture, and style to them. But then you have "thinner" videos like "You", "Every time", "Go Deep", "I Get Lonely", and "Let's Wait Awhile" that, while nice to watch, aren't anything that REALLY catches your eye per se. They're not bad, but eh. I've seen better. "Feedback" was SUCH a huge let down. Great song, worst video ever from her. For me, "Make Me" picked up where "Scream" left off, visually. Very space like, harsh corners, even couture at times. I love color, dancing, and even a story. "If" does that. "You Want This" does that. "Together Again" did that. "Any Time, Any Place" does that. Overall, she's had a good videography. Everyone has a couple of stinkers. A big favorite though, has always been "Control" for every reason. I love "Miss You Much", and even knew most of the dance steps. I even ordered a shirt from International Male that one of the dancers had on in the video (Terry Bixler). I loved "The Knowledge", and only wish it was longer. I LOVED the dance from "Rhythm Nation", and knew every step as well. . [Edited 12/13/09 22:19pm]

Janet is one of my fave video artists of all time, she's made so many good video's, it's hard to pick one really.
If forced to choose though, I have to go with "The Pleasure Principle". It's a simple video, but Janet dancing by herself was really great to see. I loved her attitude in it too. Great stuff. "Alright" would be my second pick. It's brilliant. "And When The Groove Is Dead And Gone, You Know That Love Survives, So We Can Rock Forever" RIP MJ
"Baby, that was much too fast"...Goodnight dear sweet Prince. I'll love you always

Agreed. That's a fun video. It's almost like she's breaking out of the mold, and striking out on her own. She's letting her inner freak out. It was the last single and video from the album, and kind of set up where she was going next time. She was fun, funky, yet you saw a serious determined side to her. It fed right into her coming back to the loft, and her friends asking her where she's been (in the "Miss You Much" video). The same goes for "Love Will Never Do (Without You)". The last video released from RN1814 was that one, and she had trimmed down and was sexy as all fuck. What's next? "That's The Way Love Goes", where she's showing her mid-drift, being sexy, and growing into a full fledged woman. Although I'm sure those segues weren't planned, they sure are there, looking back.

Got Til It's Gone Together Again (I just love Velvet Rope era Janet; I love that these videos feel really textured.) The Pleasure Principle (Simple yet powerful) That's The Way Love Goes (The mood of the video is great.) How can I stand 2 stay where I am? / Poor butterfly who don't understand.
