Madonna prepares for new album (rumored producers are revealed)

(December 8 Indianapolis Celebrity Headlines Examiner)

Madonna finally seems like Madonna again. She has lost the British accent, the talentless British husband, lives in New York City, and is actually smiling again. She looks like she has gained some badly needed weight as well.

Madonna is about to start recording her new album. David Guetta (Black Eyed Peas) has bragged about working on some of the tracks. The only other confirmed producer is Brendan O'Brien (Pearl Jam and Bruce Springsteen). We are far more excited about Brendan O'Brien than David Guetta.

It's a perfect time for Madonna to start working on a new album. Recent albums from fellow divas Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey have failed to live up to any hype.

hmmm

hmmm isn't Brenden O'Brien a rock producer? Perhaps her next album will be a combination of rock and dance music?

I'm eager for a new Madonna era. Hard Candy and the Celebration tracks were huge, HUGE letdowns for me.

she badly needs a 'new' sound again. i'd rather that new sound be
classic rock tracks and lovely ballads instead of another album
filled with derivative dance tracks. she can do them and do them
well, we know. but it's time for something else right now. she's
never been stuck in the same groove for this long.
and true love lives on lollipops and crisps

nod It's a sucky song. The best moments on Hard Candy ("Heartbeat","Beat Goes On",etc) sound much more "celebratory" than that weak track.

A rock album would be interesting, but I think it would divide her fanbase shrug Most of her fans seem to prefer dance music.I think she could do a perfect balance of the two genres, while keeping much of it tailored to the dancefloor.

Definitely more ballads. That's what's missing from her last two albums.

I like the work he did on the Black Eyed Peas' single "I Gotta Feeling".Wouldn't mind if Madonna went in this direction.

I'm ready for new/more Madonna. I enjoyed Hard Candy and seeing the concert made me love it that much more. But I'm always open to her trying new things so I'll take what I get. Celebration didn't do it for me tho.

Some fans will disagree with me,but I think she should work with Pharrell again. He really "studied" her 80s sound, and was able to come up with songs that were tailor-made for her.

Yeah I completely agree with you, he totally captured 1983 with Beat Goes On, I still can't believe that wasn't released! It would have been an instant hit, with kanye west on it too!

The funny thing is, I liked the pharrell collabs better than the timbaland ones upon when it was first released, but later on, I thought the timbaland ones stood the test of time better though I'm slowly beginning to change my mind again.

I know alot of people dislike him but I really dig a lot of Pharrell's work and I liked his work with Madonna. I just prefer his production over a lot of Timbaland's recent work. I especially like that he and Madonna got along so well.

nod and "Give It To Me" sounds like 1985 Madonna, imo.A funny thing about "Beat Goes On"....a few weeks ago,I was hanging out with a friend of mine who mostly listens to hip-hop.He had all these mix CDs that he was playing. To my surprise,"Beat Goes On" came on lol I was like "How do YOU know this song?!"He said that he heard this song somewhere, liked it and decided to download it.He didn't know who was singing it.This is a guy who doesn't own a single Madonna album,lol...It shows you how stupid Warners were for not releasing it as a single. It would have appealed to many listeners who normally wouldn't care about a Madonna song.

The Pharrell songs "fit" Madonna a little better than the Timbaland tracks, although I think "Miles Away" is the best thing on the album.

yeah, I think beat goes on had street appeal and would have gotten hip hop fans interested in the song for sure, without a doubt. The first few seconds screamed HIT when I first heard it

miles away is a good song but it took awhile for it to grow on me...that song for the emotionally retarded haha classic!

Weeks before the album came out,I heard a snippet of this song (it was used on a Japanese soap opera) and I KNEW that it would be my favorite song on the album.I couldn't contain my enthusiam lol

I love lady gaga's sound, but it might be too late for madonna to pull that off considering she has done consecutive dance albums now

The best thing about Pharrell is...he creates retro sounds, while still keeping the music 'new' and fresh-sounding.

A prediction: If she's just now starting the album,we won't get it until a year from now.December 2010 sounds about right. This will give her plenty of time to record numerous songs and bring in different producers (if necessary). The finished album is always totally different than what the early rumors suggest.

Michael Jackson was crazy for rejecting "Rock Your Body",which the Neptunes created especially for him. That song captures the classic 'Off The Wall' sound moreso than anything else on 'Invincible'.
