Eminem Disses Adam Lambert, Clay Aiken in New Song Last week, several new Eminem tracks hit the net, one of which is causing some familiar controversy.
The song, 'Elevator' calls out three singers; former 'NSYNC member Lance Bass, and American Idol's Clay Aiken and Adam Lambert. All three achieved their success through less traditional means, whether via televised talent contest or 90's boy band trend, but perhaps more significantly, all three are openly gay. In the song, Em rhymes, "Sorry, Lance, Mr. Lambert and Aiken ain't gonna make it/ They get so mad, when I call them both fake/ It's all these f---ing voices in my head, I can't take it/ Someone shut that f---ing baby up, before I shake it." Several websites, however, claim that Eminem is back at his old homophobic tricks. "Eminem cleverly avoids using the word 'f-----" in his new song 'Elevator' when referring to Adam Lambert and Clay Aiken, replacing it with the words 'fake it's," contends Towleroad.com, a site which refers to itself as "More than gay news for more gay men." The blog believes, "Of course, phonetically, it sounds just like 'f---ing." Adam Lambert responded via his Twitter account, saying, "Wow, Eminem mentioned me in a song?! I must be doing something right!? Even if he used the 'F word,' whatever," which he followed with, "Oh, he says 'fake it.' My bad." Thus far, Eminem's reps have declined to comment on the song's lyrics, and have yet to offer an official lyric transcription. LOVE ♪♫♪♫ ♣¤═══¤۩۞۩ஜ۩ஜ۩۞۩¤═══¤♣

It's Feminem's usual name calling for the sake of publicity. Frankly he NEEDS it, because NO ONE GIVES A FAT SHIT ABOUT HER ANYMORE.

He does this with EVERY lead single "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."

Bet you were queuing to buy his records 8/9 years ago though? Jumped off that bandwagon eh? Bet you're wrong. I never owned a Feminem record, a single, or downloaded anything of his. He was ridiculous back then, and he is now. My friend Casey was really into him (he just wanted to fuck him). He used to blare Fem's music in the car, and I asked him "can you PLEASE turn that down or off". After a couple of times, he never played Fem in the car w/ me again. I remember writing a letter to the local NBC affiliate here when the evening news anchor decided to do a 3 minute story on Femmy flipping everyone off after he did the "Stan" duet with Elton John on the Grammy's or AMAs or whatever. I told her it wasn't news, and there were bigger things going on to report about, even locally. She said "When he flips off a national audience, it's major news." I responded and told her I fully questioned her judgment and ability as a "news" reporter, and that she was no better than some slag working at The Star or any other rag.

Thus far, Eminem's reps have declined to comment on the song's lyrics, and have yet to offer an official lyric transcription. I love Lambert's response--this kid has a future. I can fully appreciate Adam's approach to his sexuality, and the unneeded fever over it. His AMA thing, whatever. He said it best, "I'm a performer, not a baby sitter." The thing about him is that him being "out" isn't new. It's new to US, the public, but he's lived his life openly since being a late teenager or early 20-something. The same goes for Rosie and Ellen. People knew they were gay - close friends, associates, etc. Just because they weren't parading it around doesn't mean they were hiding it. Their show was on 1 hour a day (30 minutes for Ellen back in the sitcom days). Out of 365 days a year, 24 hours a day, it's considered "lying" because for that 42 minutes on Rosie's show, or that 24 minutes on Ellen's show they didn't mention they were gay? Preposterous. I think Femmy is fully threatened by gay people, or he wouldn't attack them so much. Sure, there's a good bit of publicity for him in it all, but ultimately, he's like Beanie Man, or one of those fools who are full on homophobic and hateful in their music. Fem is about 50/50. He knows it garners attention which gets him attention, press, and sells a few records. But somewhere, inside him (no pun), there's a scared little boy that is STILL lashing out. All that therapy he went through? Bullshit. He hasn't changed a bit. He's still as insecure now as he was back when he was dissing Carson Daly, Christina Aguilera, Britney Spears, Chris Kirkpatrick, and others. Gheezus, if he didn't name check someone, no one would EVER give a shit about his "music". If I were Dre, I'd be embarrassed as shit.

Eminem was one of the greatest rappers of all time. At his peak his flow was unbeatable and his first two albums are stone cold hip-hop classics.
Unfortunately he went downhill FAST. The thing about the insults etc is that when people react to it, they're giving him what he wants. It's shock tactics and he plays for that. If everyone actually ignored it, he'd stop doing it. That's the irony of it. The new album is complete garbage though, uninspired and unoriginal. This particular song that we're talking about in this thread, "Elevator" - well all you need to know about this song is that HE MANAGED TO WRITE A WHOLE MOTHERFUCKING SONG ABOUT HOW HIS HOUSE HAS AN ELEVATOR IN IT. If I seriously even started to write a song about how my house had an elevator in it, I'd stop after the first verse, throw it away and write another song that's actually ABOUT something. |

well I feel I know a little something about hip hop, and I know my dog took a shit tonight and I really couldn't tell the difference between it and most of what I hear coming out of Eminem's mouth. Or even what tries to fly as hip hop these days from just about anyone.

Feminem can only diss Britney, Justin, Mariah, Christina, Clay, Adam, Moby, and the Olsen Twins. When is he gonna start a real fight with one of his contemporaries if he's supposed to be so big and bad. Cuz 75% of the people he's gone after are teenage girls and boy groups. I want him to say somethin smart about Jay-Z or Nas.
