Exactly how did this guy even make it to the main competition? He sounded absolutely horrible, whiny, screetchy, etc.

I don't get the hype.

All I can think of is:

Eminem is again just SO pathetic. Whenever he wants a cheap chart hit, he'll release a single dissing other celebs. It's how he initially got famous, and he'll have at least 1 song like it on every album.

Even he said his vocals at the AMA's weren't as good as he would have wanted. But you move on, and keep improving. His Idol performances were really, really good. I didn't like him at first singing "Black or White", but when I went back and rewatched it a few times, I got it. I appreciate his originality in things. I've NEVER heard someone make "If I Can't Have You" into such a gut wrenching ballad like he did. He set "Disco Night" on its ear that week. I'm not saying he's the end all and be all of entertainment, but with some discipline, and his ongoing originality in things, he'll do well in the business, hopefully.

Anyone even remember what Kris Allen looks like? Anyone hear his album? Oh, didn't know he had an album out? His album, nor the two singles from it, have even hit the Top 10 on any freakin' chart. Adam's album has hit #3, and has been out less time. He's sold about 198,000 units. Kris' album was released a week before Adam's, and has barely sold 135,000 units. Kris' album sold about 80K units the first week. Adam sold the whole 198,000 in its first week.

I liked both of them on the show. They juxtaposed each other. They both had different appeal, and I was shocked that Adam did not win. But flavor of the month? Nah, hardly. Kris will be dropped from Jive within a year or two. Adam will blaze on. He's more original, whether you like him or not. He'll be around for quite a while.

People need to leave Lambert alone....dude is hot and he can sing and he's not overtly ripping off any other artists. He has enormous potential.
