Is that the pre-fame album. Shun it. It is horrid.

If you can put your hands on any of the b-sides of the first album though...
Lot of fun live tracks.

What does it sound like? Its coming from Germany so I probably won't get it until next week. Why is it horrid?

It is horrid cuz it is TTD fronting a band. It's not his own unique sound.
It might be fun to have if you are a real fan, but it is not what TTD is very proud of, I imagine...

I used to work in a record store and as soon as someone hits the jackpot and gets famous, his old homies cash in on the fame and sell old recordings.

Pepe Willie, anyone? 94 East is something that must be a curse to someone as Prince, wanting to be in control and all.
The horrid thing is, it's legal...

What I remember of these recordings is that it is a let down if you are used to TTD being his cocky self.

While it's absolutely awful undoubtedly TTD himself did write and perform it all, so he can't blame anyone else. He didn't have to sing with a bunch of inadequate wannabe Funkstar Germans. biggrin

Thanks for the link. I will have to judge for myself (and then sell it!)

Very standard soul/R&B. TTD's vocals are still developing, but there are some nice moments. Mostly it's just simple and standard stuff. I think it's been several years sionce I listened to it..
