Beatles and King of Pop back on Billboard 200

Billboard has once again changed their chart methodology.

Starting this week, with no fanfare at all, ALL albums are now eligible for the Top 200; no longer are "catalog" titles excluded.

So, this week Michael Jackson's One "re-enters" the chart along with several others. Interestingly, the statistics remain unchanged; meaning they list "Number Ones" as peaking at number 13. They obviously didn't want to go back and readjust the charts; that would make for some unease as previous number ones would get demoted during the reign of the King of Pop this year.

Obviously, this was changed because of Michael Jackson, and to a lesser degree, the Beatles. But, it's kind of funny to change it now after Michaelmania has cooled down.

Anyways, the ever changing world of the Billboard charts changed again.

this is freakin ridiculous that they do this now. it was a stupid policy to begin with, and they certainly should have changed it when MJ's catalog when thru the roof in sales. now they just look foolish.

I love it that a greatest hits album full of old songs is outselling the new bullshit that's out these days. It just goes to show even more that today's music ain't shit.

And since it's December now, let's all go out and buy this one and make it number one. Remember this Christmas song? lol

Andy is a four letter word.
