One of my favorite Karoke songs to do..especially the "babybabybabybabybabaaaahh" that Chili does...love when I sing that part!

Anyway this is one of those 90's all time classics.

Now that's one of my favorites of the '90s. "Right Down to It" is #10 on my favorite Babyface songs list and "Baby-Baby-Baby" is #33.

lol I know you're either tryin 2 see if I'm on point here or askin yourself "What the hell is this fool talkin 'bout?". razz OK Inside your head or with headphones if ya got a pair, first take out the bassline on "Right Down" and just compare the drum tracks. Hell, even if you just compare the melodies themselves they still sound just alike, only without the bass TLC's sounds softer one. Production is funny like that where you can have two drum tracks that sound exactly the same, until you add everything else to it like guitars, vocals, snyths, and right before your eyes it becomes somethin else. 'Face also did this on The Deele's "Crazy 'Bout Cha" which he turned into "Roni" for Bobby Brown

He means they wrote both songs, but they're very similar. The LaFace team was often criticized for writing the same song over and over.

Every producer with a winning team/studio band has done it from Foster & Mc Elroy to Devante Swing, to Timbaland to Teddy Riley to Jam & Lewis, to Motown thru Gamble & Huff on down to Stax.

I don't disagree with you, but LaFace seemed to have that problem more than other producers (if only because of their near-ubiquity at one point). I'm not mad at 'em, though. music

Yeah on "Benefit" 'Face just took out "On Our Own's" backbeat and stretched out the melody, which took it from a r&b/hip-hop jam to an r&b/ pop record,
