The Beyonce thing might be a little hard to believe, but there's actually video footage of her at a young age and the clothing everyone wears definitely fits what her age should be.

So if she is lying about her age, she might have just shaved 2 years off.

Sometimes labels convince an artist to say they're younger than they actually are.

Michael Jackson was saying he was 9 years old in interviews, but he was really 12.

A lot of early publicity about Prince was that he was this 19 year old wunderkind when I Wanna Be Your Lover came out. In reality, he was really 21.

I don't know why the labels persuaded these guys to lie about their age. Michael was still an extremely talented singer at a very young age. No matter if it was 9, 10, or 11.

People wouldn't have been less amazed at Prince's talent as a musician if he said he was 21 or 22.

It's just the suits thinking they know everything.

Wow, Gaga is 23?!

I'm pretty sure Beyonce is what she says but damn if she doesn't look a lot older sometimes.

Michael Jackson was saying he was 9 years old in interviews, but he was really 12.

I think he judged it by when he started being groomed for stardom. He actually didn't appear on TV til he was 11 but always said "I've been performing since I was 5!" He may have just not that we saw.

michael started performing with his brother at 5, he didn't say he was on tv at 5. and motown was the one who made them all lie about their age cause it was "cuter" but 2 years is not that big of a deal anyways.

i was 10 for like 3 years so i could get a discount at country buffet
