One Week Until the Miley Cyrus Concert Next week this time, I will be inside a packed arena, awaiting the arrival of one Ms. Miley Cyrus. Sure, I plunked down the $400 so my girls can see their idol. But I have to admit, I'm looking forward to it, too. Not in a creepy, restraining order way but by all accounts the girl can put on a show. And "Party in the USA" has been my jam this summer. Miley is a lot like Prince in a way. She plays with multiple identities, has a controlling father, and tell me that "The Hannah Montana Movie" was not a loving tribute to "Purple Rain". I mean see the movie if you don't believe me. Pop star gets a big head and loses her way, is mean to the people who love her but she reclaims her soul though various traumatic experiences and gives a big triumphant concert at the end. Some say rip-off, I say loving homage (and did I mention that there a song called “Let’s Get Crazy” on the soundtrack…the influence is undeniable). But I digress. The show next week will be awesome, I know, even if it is just Miley and not her alter ego Hannah Montana. I mean I figured for 90 bucks a ticket I would be paying for half bewigged pop sensation (i.e. Hannah)/half angst-ridden rebellious “regular teen” (Ms. Miley). Alas, the wig will not be making the journey so we’ll have to make due with only 50% of fabulous. These 7 days can’t go quick enough, y’all. All good things they say never last...

It's sad how this chick is 'growing up' and dressing like a hooker, doing pole dances, etc., at such a young age. Her father should be ashamed of himself for whoring her out the way he has and to encourage your daughters to 'idolize' someone like that is not something to be proud of, in my opinion.
Spending $400 on this kind of schlock is one of the things that's wrong in the entertainment business today. It makes me sick to see people taking young girls to a show like Britney's, which has S&M and all sorts of sexual stuff that should be for grown-ups, not 10 yr olds. Ok, done with my granny rant...

Ladies and Gentlemen, this is what happens when parents are WAY too into the things their kids are into!!!
Did you buy those tickets for your daughter, or yourself??? This sounds like when I got a racing track for Christmas and my stepdad & his friends were playing with it more than I did!!! JERKIN' EVERYTHING IN SIGHT!!!!!

So much negativity. The world just doesn't understand Ms. Miley I guess. I mean the other day I saw this interview where they were making fun of her just because she admitted that her lyric "and a Jay-Z song was on" lacked credibility simply because Miley admitted that she had never actually heard a Jay Z song. I mean of course she hasn't. She's been busy touring and delighting the hearts of America. I mean it's not like this Jay Z guy is popular or anything right? She also admitted that she just made her last album to sell her clothing line I mean such refreshing honesty...that is how it is done ladies and gentlemen. All good things they say never last...

Nothing would make me happier in the world than if Miley would produce a new single for one Mr. Andrew Ridgeley. That would bring him back HUGE!!! All good things they say never last...

I believe in my heart of hearts that nothing would make the Org happier than a "day by day" countdown until the actual concert and then a complete review of the show after it is done. Maybe some Miley fun facts throughout the week too. What does everyone think? All good things they say never last...

I mean when "Some Gave All" by Mr. Billy Ray Cyrus came out in 1990, I just knew that the man's DNA contained too much talent for one human. Ergo Miley. Miley Fun Fact 1: Miley is an animal lover. She has numerous dogs and cats, assorted bears, and also is the proud owner of the Kraken from the "Clash of the Titans". She calls him Kracky.
