It depends because I bought one of her albums and it absolutely sucked big time.
I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

It wouldn't hurt to give her a try. I like her voice and style. The first cd Even Closer was really good. The 2nd one didn't grab me as much, but I liked a couple of songs alot. Her latest song "Milk and Honey" has a nice groove to it.

I've tried hard to like her material but the only thing I dig is Closer. Other than that I loved her hair before she cut it off.

Damn she cut it? She was one of the few who really knew how to keep her dreads beautiful and neat.

Yeah it's been awhile now so it's probably grown back. Couldn't find a pic but here's a video.

I have the second album and I like it....It's nice to just leave it on and let play. I had NO idea she cut her hair! eek she still is a beautiful woman, you can't take that away from her.

Did you try Zap Mama or Laura Izibor latest albums? They have the same soulful vibe as her am I'm loving the both of them. Res and Dionne Farris are two more now that I'm on a roll. Check them out as well. wink

Only when she's singing; not when she's talking.
Her speaking voice is like a cheese grater across your ears.

REALLY!???? sad Damn man I love that girl with a passion, I'm actually angry that she is not getting more exposure. She has a great voice. Why don't you try to listen to it with some headphones on and just listen really really good. razz
