I just played this song last night. It's always been a favorite song that I play on those nights when I'm feeling a little sorry for myself...Us Virgo's need to do that from time to time.

One of their best ballads :musc: Love this song! It's a highlight of the 'In The Pocket' album. This was Lionel's final hit single with the group. After this,he went solo.

heart this song!!!!!

My favorite ballad by Lionel (after he went solo) was the song, "Truly".

This song makes me cry, but I looooove it. It would be a great song for a wedding (for the first dance at a wedding reception). mushy sigh The lyric, "You know you're all right....with me", gets me EVERY time! cry

Wouldn't surprise me if the reunion never happens. At least not
with all the surviving original members.

I dont think it will, though a tour is still an idea, i doubt it highly, Lionel would get on someones nerves after a week

Love it. I have it on CD but I still prefer my 45 with the crackles in it. It just doesn't sound right without the crackles. lol

Allnall

Love the Commodores also....Sweet Love, Sail On, Still, Lady You Bring Me Up and Oh No still resonate to this day with me.....this was one of the last gems they had before Lionel took his leave of sanity.....

One thing I often wondered...despite their commercial success and Lionel's solo career, I dont seem to find many artists that overtly mention The Commodores as an influence on their musical landscape...not so with Stevie Wonder, Prince, and other luminaries of that fertile period in our music history....

AM I wrong???? What can be said that was unique about them when compared to their peers in that period?? Are there other artists that came afterwards in whom we can hear or see their influences?
