God Bless You smile

It took me a long time to get into Brenda's voice though,,,,,but I'd say she's an underrated keyboardist.

I've met in an in-store signing back when she released "Between The Sun And The Moon"(Another good set), lovely lady.

I think her strong suit is more songwriting (and playing) than singing.

...Oleta Adams - Get Here

...Luther Vandross - If Only For One Night

...Roberta Flack - You Know What It's Like

...Earth, Wind & Fire - And Love Goes On

nod 'Xactly! And yeah, her kinda-hoarse voice type of delivery probably isn't for every taste. the writing/playing is the main focus. I think her voice has a charm, though, it kinda fits for her music. I mean, I love Donald Fagen's singing, too, for the same reason....

I made a thread about her a while ago. She is so underrated. I love her and her voice. As did several other artists as they covered her songs as mentioned above. Dont forget Donna Summer's 'Dinner With Gershwin.'

and she also wrote "Dinner With Gershwin",an interesting, cleverly written song that she gave to Donna Summer in 1987:

Brenda released her own version a year or so later.
