I alaways thought How come 'they' don't 'get' even Thriller and OTW and below those albums you know.. all the great demos.. Yeah I get you yea. just strange I have no problem with Dangerous and upward, but love the older albums so much,i guess that is because that is what i grew up hearing first you know when everyone in the states heard J5 Jacksons etc. I wish Michael would have toured Dangerous in the states though.. i guess i get why.. heck i know ppl from the usa travel outside usa to see those shows and a friend of mine was saying that people thought it was 'something' that they was there. crazy. I certainly hope everyone that has bought tickets has a great time, but my feeling is that a lot of people who are excited about going to see this film in a theater are going to be sorely disappointed. I don't believe it's going to live up to the hype. I even have a morbid sense that subsequently some may go as far as to take their own life. And while I realize everyone understands on an intellectual level that Michael has passed on, I don't think the reality of his death is really going to hit home until people realize that he doesn't make a "personal" appearance when they go to see this documentary. Because it seems to me ALMOST like people are expecting Michael himself is going to be there, or that by rushing in to see this movie it will bring him back for a time. Which is why I feel when those credits roll at the end of the show, hearts are going to be breaking left and right. Because at that point, everyone will realize... "THAT WAS IT!". And I think Sony is playing on people's emotions to yank those dollars out of as many pockets as they can. I think it will certainly be a very interesting documentary, but I will be perfectly content to grab it off the Internet in just a few short weeks. no don't bootleg, it's not the same(i know). it is 10x much better on the bigger screen and the sound makes it so much better also. the atmosphere is great too, everyone in the theater really enjoys themselves. it's really an experience "we make our heroes in America only to destroy them"

I'm 19 and Thriller is my favourite album, then Bad then Dangerous. And I grew up with Dangerous, my first clear memory of MJ is the Black or White video.

My first memory of MJ is listening to my colleagues making fun of his skin colour back in the 5th grade. I also remember that one of my teachers once told my class that, whenever one of MJ's kids dropped a toy, their dad would immediately burn it or throw it away. I also remember that teacher telling us that Michael had 50 plastic surgeries. I was 10 so, of course, I believed him.
Besides, I clearly remember seeing MJ going to the courtroom late with an umbrella and my mother telling me this; "Look at his face. He's always late. If he wasn't Michael Jackson and the trial was here, in Portugal, he wouldn't always arrive late.". I remember thinking: "Poor guy. He's going to be convicted.". Who knew that, 3 years later, I was going to become one of his biggest fans. [Edited 11/8/09 6:46am]
