I didn't see him as drugged up at all. He definitely looks less lively in the footage where he's in the black blazer and red shirt, and most lively in the footage with the orange pants and silver coat, but I wouldn't say he looks drugged up or anything.

Some of the bits of the movie, like Wanna Be Startin' Somethin', The Way You Make Me Feel, I Just Can't Stop Loving You and Human Nature.... damn. It sucks we'll never get to see anything else from him outside of whatever is in the vaults.

To me, when he did "I Just Can't Stop" and "Human Nature", he seemed like he may have been on something that day. I didn't think so at first, but when I watched it for a 2nd time, I noticed he twitched a bit more than usual.

I agree, I mentioned this earlier and got jumped on for saying it. It is not a criticism, he just looked a little lost and irrational in his movements and actions, you could really see the difference from one day to the next, judging by his outfit changes. But when he had his shit together he was amazing.
its all so sad.

Because it's laughable what some (a few) people interpret in these pictures! When there is in fact nothing!

And he did miss his queue at the start of smooth criminal, he was being led by the Vt playback. You are mistakeing it with the growl at the beginning of the way you make me feel. Or maybe YOU went into the cinema with rose tinted glasses.

You got it wrong, as did Ortega! Like on TWYMMF, there would have been a cue after the Smooth Criminal sign gets shot out! First there would be silence, Michael would be "sizzling" and on his sign SC would start!

No, he missed his queue after the playback of the vt roll, the camera cut to him and he wasn't ready. He bluffed his mistake by saying he wanted to sizzle or simmer or whatever. They rolled the full Vt roll with the logo again and then we saw the silhouetted dancers do the intro. The one supposed to be MJ was a stand in.

Please don't question my opinions and get bitchy when YOU can't handle any MJ comment that doesn't fit into your idolitory. Please, thats such a cliche for an MJ fan. Oh, Ortega got it wrong as well did he.

God help us all.

Please don't talk to me any more. You are boring and negative.

Don't know who this goes in favor for, but watching the SC scene, it seems like the band was supposed to start playing which is why Ortega said, "Guys, thats the cue! I'm sorry, are we misunderstanding something here?" and then Ortega says, "Michael, I was telling them to start when you're turning towards the audience" .. Michael says "Oh no, I'm gonna turn first. When he gets my cue, then we go"

Watch it again, he is seen in silhouette, it has been discussed before on the net. I don't think he was a stand in to cover up anything, just part of the show, maybe as MJ was getting ready to make a theatrical intro or something?. The silhouette sequence looks like it is part of an intro Vt, not the rehearsal. I think the clip is still on youtube, have a look and see what you think?

Watch when the camera cuts to MJ, he is completely not expecting it, he gets a little embarrassed and starts the sizzling talk. His voice sounds slurred and seems nervous. IMHO.

Oh jesus... just watch it... LOL he's "sizzling"... it's even the guy (Travis) to his left, who first tells Kenny that they are "sizzling"... at least I think it's Travis talking... anyway... it's not Michael (Michael just interrupts him), but he knows that Michael is "sizzling"... and that again just goes to show that people believe what they want to believe even if there is something else in the picture!!

"This Is It" continues to throw all the old rules about concert movies out the window.

Domestic ticket sales for the Michael Jackson movie totaled $8.3 million on Sunday, nearly $2 million more than the $6.3 million Sony Pictures projected Sunday morning and 17% more than the movie grossed on Saturday. The movie's total domestic gross is now $34.4 million, making the worldwide number $103 million.

Concert movies traditionally see ticket sales decline rapidly after they premiere, as avid fans who turn out on opening day make up most of the audience. But "This Is It" grossed more on Sunday than any day since it debuted, a sign that word-of-mouth is strong and moviegoers who initially may have been hesitant are turning out. There also may be repeat viewing, which is often the case for concert films.

If the trend continues, "This Is It" should enjoy a relatively modest decline next weekend, and what initially looked like a middling domestic performance may actually turn into a pretty good one, albeit not nearly as big as overseas. That's where Jackson is really cleaning up.

Last night the movie theatre was full. At the end there was a burst of applause, shouts, cheers, whistles and an enormous sense of respect between everyone walking out. As if we all believed in this something that was Michael Jackson and just how honoured we had been in our lifetime to experience his gifts. Strangers talking to each other, sharing their happiness and sorrow. It was a memorable experience. There was a sense of unity.

I think that's what a good movie/show has to do with people.

I saw plenty of twitchiness and jittery-ness, I don't know how people could miss that. Particularly in the orange pants and the suit for Human Nature. He was fine in the red top and black pants. Not so fine in the others, not to mention the ridiculously obvious weight loss.

After much thought, I've decided to see this.
I haven't read any of the reviews or posts in this thread,
so that I can make my own decision about the film; and after
looking at ticket prices and theater times, I just felt like
it's too good to pass up on the big screen....an afternoon
matinee with a $5.00 price tag.

I'm going into this looking at it as a celebration of his life.

I love, love, love Michael. There was some amazing stuff in This Is It, but when I saw the movie the second time, I also noticed twitching and odd movements. He was a genius for sure, but I can not deny that something was really wrong and alot of people seemed to turn a blind eye to the situation instead of getting him the help he so desperately needed. sad

What do you guys mean when you say twitching? Because I'm like 99% sure I saw no twitching, like, say an old man or lady has when they're 80 and they're hands shake or someone with a stroke who's face twitches. Are you talking about his crazy hand movements and dance moves or what?

I mean, I'm certainly not telling anyone what they did or didn't see, but I can't help but wonder if there's some placebo effect going on here knowing the circumstances of his death.

It's hard to explain. He was jittery in the sense that you didn't quite know if he was going to lash out or not. Like in WBSS, he starts doing that slapping move randomly (like when you put your hand in front of you and make a slapping motion, often used to signify sex) then keeps getting faster and faster. It was odd and I've never seen Mike do a move like that before.

It was mainly always with the orange pants, he just seemed all over the place and unpredictable like he was high or something...

In TWYMMF, he did some silly walk, like even in rehearsals I've still never seen him do that or act that way.

I found this website last night:

http://www.the-michael-ja...om/02.html

It's basically every article ever written about him. Two of the article in this section, made before he died, say he was using lookalikes. Maybe when he's wearing orange pants it's actually an impersonator? I saw teleprompters, as well.
