Yeah I agree, I'm much more mad that Ray Of Light didnt get one. Although I guess Drowned World is a Ray Of Light/Music mixture with it's theme, I still would of liked one straight after the album was released. If only she didnt do the Girlie Show untill after Bedtime Stories, as I think the album would of fit in with that tour.

I don't think that can be judged, because her shows take her albums to a new direction. While I agree BS might be too ballad-y for a Madonna show, she could have still done half of the album like she did with AL on RIT (which album had several songs in the same downtempo mood as well) and the rest hits. Madonna DID say she wanted to tour it but there was no time because of Evita.

And even Erotica could not predict the Girlie Show, for example who would have guessed "Bye Bye Baby" would be performed by Madonna dressed as a man?

I agree - she had too much new / unperformed stuff to do on the Drowned World tour - it turned it into a total yawn fest. I think she was so against touring for so long though - and she always referred to touring as being a total pain in the ass.....she seems to enjoy it a lot more now.

Imagine how well the Girlie Show band could have fleshed out some of those ROL songs. Imagine how amazing Secret would have sounded (I HATE the version performed on the Drowned World tour). they did a good job with Little Star on Oprah. I do think only a few Bedtime Stories songs lend themselves to live performance, but im sure she would have created something great.

DWT is not a yawnfest! But "Secret" is definitely the low-point of that show, it's so dull, without the beat that song is nothing...

Was Oprah really the GS band, are you sure about that? I thought it was a band with new people because Orbit led it?

i think Bedtime Stories would've been an awesome acoustic tour. along with songs from Erotica; maybe right after the release of Something To Remember.

In junior high, everyone loved r&b/hip hop plus mj, and "white people" were laughed at cause of ignorant people and going to a school full of minorities. But I knew people who were crazy about Take A Bow.

I plead guilty! That's so funny and true. I'm a huge Madonna fan, but this is one of my least favorite records by her.
I guess it's because I'm not that into R&B. I do like a few songs such as Bedtime Story, Love tried to Welcome Me and Sanctuary that are more electronica than R&B but overall it's not my favorite.

I've noticed on Madonna boards that it's the least favourite album too.
