I understand that he still does quite well writing for other people, but his solo career could use a jolt.

I enjoyed his first two episodes of The Brian McKnight Show. Stevie Wonder the first week and Smokey Robinson the next.

He played one of the pimps in "Black Dynamite" "Love Hurts. Your lies, they cut me. Now your words don't mean a thing. I don't give a damn if you ever loved me..." -Cher, "Woman's World"

I have heard all the tracks and I don't hear Stevie on any of them. It's a nice album, and a couple tracks definitely sound like they could be Stevie-penned, but until I buy it I guess I won't know Stevie's involvement.
It's a good album though... very good, surprisingly good, actually.

What is that "over" for him? It's an appearance. Lots of artists do record store signings, so how is this different? It's all about promotion.

Fury said: [Edited 10/22/09 23:18pm] He was on the radio this morning, saying his show wasn't in jeopardy and he doesn't owe the IRS. He said not to listen to Wendy Williams. That pic is airbrushed to death, I mean they cleared all the wrinkles in his forehead and everything. None of them got what it takes 2 B a future baby mama Gotta bend in the wind, but don't break 2 keep your man Show me 1 of them and I'll make her mine With no more drama Future baby mama

Remember back in the days (early 1990's) when Brian made his public debut with that song he wrote for Vanessa L. Willians:
