Speaking of Curtis Mayfield, does anyone remember Fishbone's version of "Freddie's Dead"?

^ Oh yes, I remember when they went on Soul Train to perform it.
I've lost the use of my heart, But I'm still alive, Still looking for the life, The endless pool on the other side, It's a wild wild west, I'm doing my best, I'm a soldier of love, Every day and night, I'm soldier of love, All the days of my life.

Yes, in 89' or 90'. And I thought it was the weirdest thing I had ever seen on that show. lol

i would love to find that clip

i remember that because it was the first time i ever saw them lip synch a song and after a while it was funny because they really tried hard to make it look like they were not trying to get the lip synching right
