I was there as well last night! My 2nd time seeing her & I was floored! Her band, the new album all sounded great live, especially that drummer! I love how while she's playing U can see the joy on her face like she's having a spiritual epiphany with each note she thumps out on her bass. I was annoyed by the people calling 4 her 2 do her hits or earlier stuff,I guess not really feeling the new material. I don't know if U noticed but while Amp Fiddler was onstage (he was a guest keyboardist during most of the show) during one song that I can't remember the name of,but she introduced it by saying we should think about those less fortunate than us, he sat behind the keyboards and was crying.I think the lyrics made him think of the death of his son earlier this year but it was sad 2 see. But Amp gave the show an extra dose of Motor City funk! I chatted with him briefly after the show and he was very humble. My date and I were in the 3rd row and really enjoyed ourselves!

Mehsell has done quite a few covers. (remakes) Her version of that Bill Wither's song, "Who is he and what is he to you", is the first cover that comes to mind. "Love is like peeing in your pants, everyone sees it but only you feel its warmth"

She did 90% of her material off her new album, and changed the arrangements of the few old ones she played.
