He's only called "Jackie" because it was short for "Jackson Boy", his original nickname. i thought he got his nick name because he played baseball and they called him the next Jackie Robinson. He even turned down a pro contract for his show biz career I don't think so, lol. That could be more logical but I always hear it was because they kept calling him "Jackson Boy" trying to find a more suitable name because Joe and Katherine didn't think no one would get "Sigmund" right in spelling or whatever.

Look at Marlon, he's also two years younger than he was. they made evryone lie none of their ages are correct "we make our heroes in America only to destroy them"

I think you would be right as wasnt he called Jackie since he was a small boy? I doubt he would of even started playing baseball by then.

Was he seriously going to wear those? yes When Michael Jackson’s personal stylist, Ruschka Bergman, wanted exclusive footwear that was unique to commemorate the King of Pop’s comeback, designer Giuseppe Zanotti did justice by creating three exceptional models. Everything had to be perfect for the first leg of the late King of Pop’s “This Is It!” tour, which was slated for July in London, before his untimely death on June 25. And no one could rise to the needs of stars better than Zanotti. For technical reasons, Jackson’s shoes had to be suitable for dancing. They had to be soft, comfortable and functional. And they also had to reflect the singer’s own determination and appeal. Of the three designs, the boot was billed as extreme. Inspired by the Dirty Diana videoclip, its totally black silhouette lights up, thanks to the alternation of jewellery buckles of various sizes. The flat gladiator sandals, on the other hand, speaks for itself, with a choreographic pattern of studs and strass decorating its soft little calfskin straps. Finally, the ankle boot encrusted with multi-coloured Swarovski crystals — like the colours of the rainbow — was the model that Zanotti donated to the Amfar Gala Dinner during the Milan Fashion Week on Sept 28. Auctioned for 10,000 Euros (RM50,000), the Rainbow Boot made its own contribution to the fundraising efforts for research on HIV/AIDS. Many from the artistic and fashion world were present, including Jackson’s little sister Janet, who was also one of the hosts. Also applauding the Italian designer’s success were Kanye West, Amber Rose, Anna Piaggi, Alek Wek and Anja Rubik. The other two shoe designs will be displayed at a show dedicated to the late singer, curated by Bergman herself. "we make our heroes in America only to destroy them"

Was he seriously going to wear those? He most probably was, but it´s still kinda unbelievable cause he said he couldn´t dance in heels once. "When Michael Jackson is just singing and dancing, you just think this is an astonishing talent. And he has had this astounding talent all his life, but we want him to be floored as well. We really don´t like the idea that he could have it all."

alandail said: blackguitaristz said: Michael didn't attend the Purple Rain Premier. Warners Bros held a screening for folks who worked at the company on the lot of WB in Burbank, Ca. Michael made arrangements with Warners to see the film there but was late to the screening. The studio brass held up running the film UNTILL Michael showed up. He sat in the last row of the theatre all the while keeping his shades on. 10 minutes before the film ended, Michael got up and bailed. This is what was quoted in the book of what Michael thought of the film..."The music is o.k. I guess. But I don't like Prince. He looks mean and I don't like the way he treats women. He reminds me of some of my relatives. And not only that, the guy can't act at all. He's really not very good."
I can believe the first part (not sure about the leaving early part unless he left to avoid the crowd - if you leave 10 minutes before the end of purple rain, you miss the whole point of the movie), but don't believe the quote at all - it's been pretty well established that Michael and Prince were friends and had mutual respect for each other (despite the way media and fans tried to portray it). And it's pretty common knowledge that Michael wrote Bad intending it to be a duet with Prince - you don't write songs to sing with people you don't like and think are mean looking. [Edited 10/17/09 5:44am] [Edited 10/17/09 5:52am] Don't know what to tell you, man.... Just posting a quote that was in the book The Magic and the Madness, page 429, and what was printed that Michael said about Prince and the film. Maybe Michael never even saw the film Purple Rain in the first place, you know what I'm saying? Who knows? SynthiaRose said "I'm in love with blackguitaristz. Especially when he talks about Hendrix."
