Janets GH album has the power to go number 1 if she pushes it. "All For You" was the last album Janet promoted properly. I say it all the time, Janet has lost her passion for performing. The look on Janets face during Rock Witchu Tour performances were like "DAMN! I can't wait to finish this shit up". Janet is back with Jimmy & Terry so hopefully they'll give her the strength that she needs to push herself back to the top.

nod I agree 100%. Janet's last few albums have sounded soo half-hearted. She's been performing since she was like what 7 years old so I don't blame her for getting tired of it to an extent, but she doesn't need to be doing anything that she doesn't feel passionate about anymore. I'd rather her not make another lackluster album if her new passion lies in making movies than have to listen to her go through the motions on another album. If this new album is half-hearted, than I'll be disappointed but I'm hoping that isn't the case.
Sadly, there are still people who dislike Janet because of the Superbowl which is just stupid and pathetic because it happened 5 years ago and she apologized for it, which I still don't think she should have done. People really need to get over it and move on now. I just hope there aren't people who jump on the Janet fan bandwagon just because of Michael's passing because that really annoys me. This happened after Aaliyah died (Michael too) and it really sickened me because if you don't appreciate them when they're here then what's the point after they're gone. I doubt they're getting residuals and platinum plaques in heaven. Just my twocents

Sorry, got waay off topic. boxed Back to your regularly scheduled Britney programming.

that she's been performing since she was 7 IS BULLSHIT!!!! Kylie Minogue has been performing since she was 12, Skyways, Sullinvans, The Hendersons, Young Talent Time. She hit it big around the same time as Janet with Neighbors and I Should Be So Lucky/Loco-Motion. She had her down moments 94-99, 2005 when she was considering retiring, breast cancer from 05-06 and she's still out there turning out hits, touring nonstop and having a good time. On her American Tour she was brave enough to put her ego aside and perform in much smaller venues than she was used to, and with no guarantee of a sell out. She got out there and did her thing with the hugest smile on her face.

no using it as an excuse for her lackluster performance this decade.

the jackson floons always trot out they've been in the business since they were x age as an excuse. Drew Berrymore, Kylie Minogue Jodi Foster and a few others show you can make the transition from preteen star to adult star with a solid career.

What do you mean "lackluster performance"? If you're speaking sales. You shouldn't have even brought up Kylie falloff Just makes you look even more stupid.

Drew Barrymore? Drug and alcohol abuse?

Phoning what? I know her music hasn't been all that good but I don't think she's "phoning" it.

Britney looks great. I'm very glad to see her looking healthy and happy and away from those crazy tabloid articles.

But I have no idea what the appeal of her music is. Some of her older tracks, which are about as stereotypical pop as you can get... I get the appeal, even if I don't care for it. But her recent stuff? You know how sometimes you try to encode a video file or something, and play it back and its all corrupted and you immediately try to turn it off or hit pause because the noise is so bad?

Haha, it's funny I consider her older music like that and her more recent stuff a lot more pleasant. I can't stand her over sexual image but when she's just singing nice pleasant songs, I think she's great:

Drew Barrymore had a terrible childhood mainly due to her mother who was just a terrible parent. She was in rehab by age 13. Now, Kylie and Jodi faired waay better, but even they have had their problems with the business at some point I'm sure. The only child star that I can think of that seems to have had little to no major problems adjusting to life in the spotlight at a young age that is still relevant is Stevie Wonder. He seems to have come out quite healthy and happy in the end...sure, he's visually impaired, but so was Ray Charles and we all know that he was a junkie at one point in his career.

I'm not saying that Janet's albums have declining sales just because she's been in the business for soo long. I've said there are a number of reasons and this is probably one of them. At some point, everybody wants to take a break from whatever their job is, even celebrities. Even Kylie and Jodi disappeared from the spotlight at a point in their careers. Jodi went to college for a few years and lived a relatively quiet existence before returning to acting. There's been few child stars who have stayed in the spotlight without a break and remained sane and healthy and Stevie is honestly the only one I can think of at this time.
