My boyfriend and I saw the new John Mayer album cover, and he says he sees at least some sort of "influence" in one way or another from Prince's Parade album. Not sure exactly how to describe it, but does anyone else see it, too?

Even more specifically from the Parade era, it reminds me of the pic sleeve for the "Kiss" single. I think it is the white background, black and white figure looking past the camera, tall hair, big collar flipped up, and the vertical text, at 90 degrees
