Well, I still find it great. Not boring at all.
Anyway, if her new album should really feature a more current style it's brave, but necessary. The concept of 70s and 60s soul music has lost its appeal. Maybe some fans will ditch her, but she'll gain a new audience as well.

I dont see a style in these times, i see alot of re-doing what has already been done, but as far as a style, they come and go so quick for her to jump on a sound would be dumb at this point. All i think she will do is a toss in one or two songs that sound more upbeat in mood to give something to radio that is more in the "state of mind" vibe (though that is the most overrated song) "We went where our music was appreciated, and that was everywhere but the USA, we knew we had fans, but there is only so much of the world you can play at once" Magne F

In 2001 I thought she's another one hit wonder. Everyone was talking bout Fallin as if she was the saviour who would save the music.
Then, I didn't hear anything from her for over two years and I already wondered if she will ever release anything again? That was until early 2004 when her second album kicked off, I quite liked the singles. And for the last album she was already established. I bought it the day it came out.

There's so much wrath on this thread is spilling over. I'm just commenting on a Jay-Z song. But I'm long past buying an album just because I hear one brilliant song. But this certainly has stoked my Jay-Z interest. And save for a few songs, I've yet to get into Alicia Keys yet myself. Haven't heard the new one yet, as it doesn't get released until at least mid December. -- Can't Type! -- [Edited 10/31/09 21:51pm]

Copycat said: Video: Jay-Z & Alicia Keys Perform at the World Series. I do like this song. It has a fresh and original feel to it...pretty almost. But, wow, AK can not dress to flatter her shape for nothing. Yikes. I think this second single is a vast improvement over the first. The production and overall melody and arrangement is more interesting. I won't say I like it just yet, but at least I perked up a bit listening to it. "Be glad for what you had baby, what you've got..."

She's so purty. I'd pay money to be a human piano bench for her. When I was talking to her, Sam would get jealous as hell of this woman. It was kinda funny.
