I like "Stop To Love" but I can se why many people wouldn't like it...lol...it's more pop-sounding than his other songs from that period.

Those three (Luther, Dionne & Stevie) have done a lot of stuff with/for each other. Such a shame Luther left so early, I thought "Dance With My Father" was an absolutely incredible album. At least he got to see the success he had with it.

You have a good point. My issue with the mentioned songs from Luther is that they were blatant attempts to cross over to the pop charts. They worked...somewhat, but they still didn't manage to make him the pop star he wanted to be at that time. I had no problem with Luther wanting to cross over, my problem was that the songs were not great pop songs. When Luther finally broke through to the pop charts with "Here and Now", it was the perfect blend of pop and r&b that he had been searching for all of those years. To me, "Here and Now" was almost like an updated "So Amazing". They used the same formula.

Awesome song! The Luther song that always makes me cry is 'Here and Now'....man, I always lose it on that song.
