I've never heard that one but it looks like Rick James stole that groove for The Mary Jane Girls "All Night Long". eek

Yes he did. "All Night Long" came out in 1983. Keni recorded this and released it in late 1981. cool

I was listening to "Tell Me", but Groove Theory yesterday, and I you could hear the influence of "Keep Rising".

So true. LL sampled both "Risin' to the Top" and "All Night Long" in "Around the Way Girl", they're almost real similar. lol
