I think we can all agree on that...an 80 million dollar stripper is a hard working stripper indeed!

So I suppose you were telling off Usher for whipping off his shirt in every music video and performance he did during the Confessions era?

She ISN'T the hardest working woman. I think a woman who is struggling in LA to live as an actress, or make it as a recording artist, or some other "SHOW BUSINESS" job, along with doing the normal 9-5 job works ten times harder then her. Stick Beyonce's ass at Burger King for a year, then see how HARD she works.
What she does is strip, and she happens to be a good vocalist. When this all gives out, she will end up posing for Playboy.

Along the same lines, I'm sure Ciara or Mya, or anyone else presented with her opportunities would work just as hard.

It really makes my blood boil when people, especially other well known entertainers try to throw that title at her. Heck, it wouldn't surprise me if her daddy wrote Neyo's introduction for him.

Beyonce should really divorce Jay-Z and marry Kanye. They could open their own island and just worship each other...okay okay themselves.

I consider it..oh nevermind.
Her being treated like she is some American Icon is just sillyness.
People of this generation would have you believing she is Tina Turner.
All she is an urban Britney Spears, who can sing a little better,
whose parents made better choices for her career. I hope someday a really truly talented (and someone who won't use sex to get sales) will blow this twit out of the water. I keep hoping. I keep hoping.

I can only take so much Beyonce before I have to feeling ill
And at the rate I've had of her the past 4 years, I'm about near hospitalization. I can't turn around and there she is. Ick!

Beyonce's image, music and style is the equivalent of this to me:

Feel free to join in the Prince Album Poll 2018! Let'a celebrate his legacy by counting down the most beloved Prince albums, as decided by you!

THIS was considered classy and hard-working!
Beautiful lady and used her beauty in a VERY classy and graceful way...
It's not that I don't like Beyonce but I'll stay an Aaliyah fan forever because of her style!

Yeah, must admit, if Aaliyah were still here, I wouldn't even look twice at Beyonce.

lol I stopped waiting on that dream years ago. Unfortunately, these female artists just seem to get more and more trashy as time goes by because females in the entertainment business are supposed to be pieces of meat more than intellectuals I guess. It's sad, but they allow it to happen so I don't feel sorry for any of them, nor do I have any respect for any them who rely so heavily on the sexed up imagery. Beyonce is only the hardest working woman in show business because she endorses everything and doesn't want to take a break...that make you more greedy than hard-working to me, but that's just my opinion.

In the end, being pimped is being pimped whether you stand on a street corner or pop your coochie in a million dollar video. Beyonce has been pimped by her daddy since her career started and if she's too dumb to see it than that's her problem. Beyonce may have made over $80 million dollars last year, but my soul and integrity don't come with a price tag...apparently hers does so, whatever makes her smile shrug . I just wish she would stop talking all this strong, independent woman stuff because she's really neither of those things at the end of the day in my eyes. Oh, and that picture is demeaning and trashy. Exotic dancers don't get paid $80 million dollars a year to do what that picture shows and they work really head at what they do. Just my twocents

Vanilli said:[quote]Seriously, the public is really since 2003, been trying to force-feed this kind of, "Beyonce is an icon" load of crap. She is all about gimmicks, sex, raunchy videos and trying way too hard.

Watching her on the VMAs..she looks like a stripper. (Her background dancers are hotter then her though) Haha.

Back to my question Neyo with his sillyness, "The hardest working woman in show business." Next year, will she be, "The Queen of Pop?"

I guess what I want to know is, WHY IS THE MEDIA on the band-wagon of making Beyonce an icon?

HERE HERE HERE I totally agree .... Possibly the most truest statement written on the forum. Thank you for stating the truth.

But the question should be about whether she is hard working ... I happen to believe she is and thats one of the things I like about Beyonce and also do believe that she has a genuine passion for music. The question should be about whether her songs, singing and dancing justifies the sheer 'sucking up' and should she be perceived as 'icon or legendary'

Beyonce is a good singer with a strong voice.... she is not exceptional (she thinks she is and she is promoted as such) Sorry.... u struggle to hit notes on the more difficult ballads.

Beyonces songs are very mediocre and standard and they are getting worse! Some are quiet good but most lets be honest are average and no better and sometimes worse than Rihanans and Ciaras songs.

On the Plus side she only stands out because she is very beautiful and has some talent amongst a music industry that is filled with untalented fools. Black music is on a decline and Beyonce is very overrated and with every person that is overrated there are great artists that are underrated like Alicia Keys, India Arie, Mary J Blige, Maxwell, and even Mariah Carey who is a real gem and Beyonce is sometimes given more credit. e.t.c.

MyNameIsCally

I'm not a Beyonce fan but I think she IS hard working. A documentary was on once and it shows how when she was 9-ish she'd be practacing singing & dancing, & while all her friends were out bowling or whatever she'd be at home practacing. Her voice and looks are twice that of "the real icons" like Madonna and Britney Spears, although I agree they ALL look like strippers lol. If anyone deserves to be "Queen of Pop" it's Beyonce, even though I hate all that crap!
