Mtv could have easily 1. Not let anyone not accepting an award on the stage 2. Turned the mic down This was a win/win for everybody. EVERY year, there is some sort of stunt at the Mtv awards (movies or music) Its what they do for ratings. They are attention whores themselves. Mtv gets ratings Kanye gets to do what he always does - something outrageous that gets people to talk about him Taylor gets the sympathy of the public Beyoncé gets to look like a "class act" which might translate into people tolerating seeing her for just a little bit longer. Why did Taylor come from backstage when Beyoncé asked her to come out? Why not from the audience if it was impromptu? This is clearly staged to a degree. Taylor may not have been in on it but I smell Rocafella all over this stunt. (Kanye/Bey/Jay) [Edited 9/18/09 0:44am] Taylor said that she was asked to wait backstage. That's why she wasn't seated. It strange to see younger people so jaded to see it as a publicity stunt. It's just a person behaving badly like a lot of his peers.I don't mean in the music industry, I mean his age group. They are just as uncivil and rude. They just aren't in front of a tv camera doing the same thing. Exxxxxactly

His previous outbursts were about himself not about anybody else, now all of a sudden he's on Beyonce's dick? But anywho, now that all of this is over, he's apologized upteen times, even called the girl and told her sorry, so it's back to life and real world issues. I heard on the radio though that he's been trying to contact his ex-fiance for guidance in helping him deal with himself. I wasn't surprised by that. His life has been spiraling out of control since his mom died. He's acting as if he hates himself or something, but that is due to the fact that honestly he hasn't took the time out to grieve his mother's death. Instead he threw himself into his work....which in turn has erupted into all of this. Though I know MOST probably will, I haven't given up on him. I hope he gets the help that he needs to deal with his pain. [Edited 9/18/09 10:29am] I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

http://www.mtv.com/news/a...anye.jhtml Kanye West was asked to leave Radio City Music Hall not long after he crashed the MTV Video Music Awards stage during Taylor Swift's acceptance speech for Best Female Video. The rapper rushed onto the stage and immediately protested Swift's win, saying Beyoncé instead deserved the honor. "I'm sorry, but Beyoncé had one of the best videos of all time," 'Ye proclaimed after he pulled the microphone out of the country star's hands. B looked stunned as she sat by in the audience. West, of course, has a history of awards-show tirades, beginning in 2004 at the American Music Awards when he bolted during the show after losing out on Best New Artist and later telling reporters, "I felt like I was definitely robbed, and I refused to give any politically correct bullsh---ass comment ... I was the best new artist this year." Two years later at the 2006 MTV Europe Music Awards, West took his complaints to the stage in a similar fashion to tonight's rant. Justice and Simian's "We Are Your Friends" bested West for an award and the rapper interrupted their speech as he popped up onstage saying he should have won, because his clip "cost a million dollars and Pamela Anderson was in it." He later apologized for his stunt, explaining he had a "little sippy sippy" before the production. West seemed to take that instance in stride as he joked he was going to have another "sippy sippy" before the night was over. But his verbal attack against Swift had a more vicious tone. According to a tweet from Jay-Z's DJ, Neil Armstrong, Swift and her mother were seen backstage crying afterward; Beyoncé brought Swift onstage for another chance at her acceptance speech later in the show. Various celebs have lashed out against West on Twitter, including Pink, who had to be escorted away from the rapper by security. Prior to Sunday night's show, West was captured by photographers on the red carpet swigging from a bottle of Hennessey. In multiple pictures West can be seen cradling the bottle as he and his girlfriend Amber Rose were snapped; he is also seen sharing the bottle with Pete Wentz, and in a different shot, West is standing near Joe Jackson, who is holding it. Following his rant against Swift, West returned to his seat and flipped off the audience, who began booing him, before he sat down. He was booed again in the show when Diddy announced the nominees for Best Male Video. "What I say?" Diddy asked, as the boos rained down. West had already left Radio City Music Hall by then, however. What's this dude's PROBLEM? I always knew from his pictures he was a SELF-CENTERED NARICISSIT. But I had no idea he was this bad and GROSS. [Snip - luv4u]

I don't think it was staged, but staged or not, its an ass thing to do, same with allowing someone's balls in your face, then storming out in mock anger.

I saw an interview with Kanye a while back where he was furious that the Dixie Chicks won a Grammy instead of Gnarles Barkley. He said he was sitting next to them and said "I WILL GO UP THERE FOR YOU!". They told him to stay in his seat.
I recall him doing this another time with some white group who won an award instead of him. I remember thinking they should have kicked his ass off of the stage. It's at least ten feet off the floor so he would have had a nice long fall. I agree that there's a racial dimension to this, but it's more about his preference for black music than for black people. Lastly, I'm amused to find that people who are gullible enough to believe in "wardrobe malfunctions" are actually going out of their way to call this a publicity stunt. Oh, the irony “The man who never looks into a newspaper is better informed than he who reads them, inasmuch as he who knows nothing is nearer to truth than he whose mind is filled with falsehoods and errors.”

That implies he was a well behaved dude prior to that tragedy. He was just as much of a trash talking niglet that he is now. Only difference now is he can use that to explain away his lack of class, morals and decorum. Money doesn't buy you class, manners or ethics. It just makes you look pretty for the camera capturing what an ass you still are despite the millions.
