What are all of Prince's influences?

The influence of James Brown, Sly & The Family Stone, and Parliment/Funkadelic are obvious, but what are some other influences?

He's more influenced by Santana than Parliament, although they've gotten a foot hold on him as well.

Was it Journey that has a song that sounds similiar to Purple Rain? And which song came first, 1999 or Human League's Keep Feeling (Fascination)?
