I said the same thing right after the incident. I know he wouldn't have pulled that shit with Pink she would have knocked him out. In fact, I don't think anyone else in that category besides Taylor would have reacted the way she did. He definitely picked the right one to mess with.

I personally think that people are going to far with this taylor swift shit. Americans don't have healthcare we are still at war but all anyone including the president are talking about this dumb ass shit it is just a damn vma.Like lets get real people.

Pink career is going down the loo real fast ...i'm shocked that she said that, she's a real jerk for talking about it ...she damn already said what she needed to say on her twitter page the day before.... lol

Man did not think Pink would sink so low to get record sales...ha...ha... lol

Clock must really be ticking on her career eek

One thing I've learned along the way is that people who claim things like "I woulda kicked his ass" are typically the ones that would have done shit.

Real nutjobs just do it, they don't sit there and go on about it to anyone that will listen.

Something tells me that Pink is just another chick running her mouth...of course after the fact.

I think she tried to beat him up on the spot. Isnt that why his security had to pull her away?

Bullshit.

which stations? C&W?

What KW did is incomparable with Chris Brown.

More people sided with Brown than West. More people seem shocked by West than Brown nearly killing a woman.

I'd really like to know why this whole ordeal is so offensive to people. Is Hollywood/the world really this starved for a scandal?
[Edited 9/16/09 2:59am]

The fact that ANYONE 'sided' with Brown is sick all by itself. I couldn't believe all the posts I'd read where people would say 'she deserved it'. What the fuck is the matter with the kids today anyway?!?! sigh

I don't think this is comparable at all, but it's gotten so much attention because it was broadcast. I think if Rihanna's beating had been caught on tape, instead of only one photo being leaked, it would've been a lot different. That little fucker needs to go away for a few years too. I can't believe all he got was probation, that's messed up, especially since there were previous incidents.

Well, consider that this guy thinks some girl standing in one place, popping pussy in a video, is better than someone who can actually write songs and play instruments...it says it all. FFS, Prince had to teach Beyonce how to run scales properly. I'll take a natural talent over Bey's manufactured dreck any day!

lol @ "popping pussy." (not to be confused with the ever popular "snappin pussy.") Sounds like what I call "twat thrusts!" But I agree with you about her talent or lack thereof. I always wondered if folk like her because of the way she bumps and grinds. Not to be too prudish, but I think some of her moves are downright vulgar.

Well, I have to confess I stole the popping pussy phrase, I like it tho! lol

But I do agree with you about most of her moves just looking vulgar rather than sexy. It's more like a drag queen act than talented dancing!

Kanye's career will probably suffer tremendously for this. That was not a good move on his part.

Please, he deserved what he got which was adulation of his work from his peers, and she deserved getting a popularity award for her video. Why does one have to be less deserving of or more ridiculous than the other?

People, I think the US don't have other problems. It's not a big deal after all. It was just what Kanye did for the last 5 years. I bet the white C&W community is organizating the bashing. Although Country music sucks, it's still huge in the US or how could she otherwise sell 4 mio copies?

Well, in his case, his 'peers' have no taste, class or REAL MUSICAL talent either, so that doesn't count for much in my book. Creating a beat on a machine, does not make you a musician and talking fast & rhythmically does not equal singing.

As stated earlier, her songs have sold well world-wide. I'm no country music buff, but I do know there are some very talented people in that genre. So since Obama thinks Kanye's a jackass too, does that mean he's secretly a white country music fan joining in the bashing?

Kanye's also getting it because this isn't the first time he's done something stupid and rude like that. It wasn't even about Beyonce, it was about HIM getting stage time and now he's getting the backlash he deserves from it.

This whole incident is fake to me..

lololol.

Notice that the entertainers who are slamming Kanye, have not been "relevent" of late.. I am defending Kanye at all, but some these people needed the attention again.

It's all a shame and a sham.

A "slight-of-hand trick" for the masses who believe in The Electric Box.

Both nominees wore the same red...lololol. One thing about red is it stands for passion and anger..

Even the President seem to need to please the public with his commentary (when he needs to be focusing on more important issues--or is someone else doing the work for him?)

What did everyone expect?

Honesty?

Especially , when it comes to $, fame, and influence?

lolololol!

lol

You're stuck on the whole ‘this doesn't equal that’ crap.

No, making beats doesn't make you a musician (although a lot of producers are musicians themselves) and rapping doesn't make you a singer...but no one has ever claimed that is does. It does make you an artist. And as with singing and playing some people are more accomplished in their skill than others.

Music has many colours and some people can recognize and respect that (even if they are not fans of certain types of music), and then others can not.

Talent is talent, whether you like the genre or not is not even relevant really when discussing skill and talent.

And his peers are people in the music biz period - that covers all genres - not just hip hop.

It wasn't just kids. Plenty of grown adults on here were seriously arguing about how Rihanna MUST HAVE hit him first and how she could've easily caused the same damage he did...
