Nice on Kanye... lol

That's total bullshit! It's not NICE to do whatever the fuck you want on a broadcast. I've only heard one or two of Taylor's songs, but she's a talented young girl who I've read writes her own stuff, which is more than you can say about Beyonce or Sasha or whoever the fuck she thinks she is today.

clapping What Kanye did was low-class and petty. disbelief I'm so through with him!

I think Beyonce did the right thing, very considerate of her.

She may be over-exposed and somewhat forced, but she holds herself with grace and dignity.

Well done.

Yeah, calling the Single Ladies video the best of the decade is a bit extreme, right along with Beyonce's title as The Hardest Working Woman in Showbiz".

Now that Kanye's blockheaded assanine-ry has given America it's Monday morning watercooler moment, I wonder how this is going to play out in terms of public backlash hmmm

It's so weird that of all the shit he's said, it's this one getting everyone riled up. Where was everyone when he did the exact same thing a few years back in Europe? When he said "George Bush doesn't care about black people?"

People laughed and forgot about those two incidents yet he gatecrashed Taylor Shit's acceptance speech and suddenly everyone is losing their mind...wtf?

The Europe VMAs aren't that popular in the US, so that incident didn't register on people's interest radar there.

As for the Katrina catastrope, it created heightened tensions in our community and alot of things were said by public figures across the board...in anger, in rage, in distress, and desperation. Emotions were high, and his soundbyte was just one of many in the aftermath of that tragedy from celebrities, politicians, activists, etc. Besides, if you know the cultural and historical background of that region, or have any familiarity with how we've handled other natural disasters in the past, you would understand that there were plenty of citizens in the public and private sector that agreed with him at the time.

Just found this posted at MTV, supposedly they asked him to leave:

http://www.mtv.com/news/a...anye.jhtml

Kanye West was asked to leave Radio City Music Hall not long after he crashed the MTV Video Music Awards stage during Taylor Swift's acceptance speech for Best Female Video.

The rapper rushed onto the stage and immediately protested Swift's win, saying Beyoncé instead deserved the honor.

"I'm sorry, but Beyoncé had one of the best videos of all time," 'Ye proclaimed after he pulled the microphone out of the country star's hands. B looked stunned as she sat by in the audience.

West, of course, has a history of awards-show tirades, beginning in 2004 at the American Music Awards when he bolted during the show after losing out on Best New Artist and later telling reporters, "I felt like I was definitely robbed, and I refused to give any politically correct bullsh---ass comment ... I was the best new artist this year."

Two years later at the 2006 MTV Europe Music Awards, West took his complaints to the stage in a similar fashion to tonight's rant.

Justice and Simian's "We Are Your Friends" bested West for an award and the rapper interrupted their speech as he popped up onstage saying he should have won, because his clip "cost a million dollars and Pamela Anderson was in it."

He later apologized for his stunt, explaining he had a "little sippy sippy" before the production.

West seemed to take that instance in stride as he joked he was going to have another "sippy sippy" before the night was over.

But his verbal attack against Swift had a more vicious tone. According to a tweet from Jay-Z's DJ, Neil Armstrong, Swift and her mother were seen backstage crying afterward; Beyoncé brought Swift onstage for another chance at her acceptance speech later in the show. Various celebs have lashed out against West on Twitter, including Pink, who had to be escorted away from the rapper by security.

Prior to Sunday night's show, West was captured by photographers on the red carpet swigging from a bottle of Hennessey. In multiple pictures West can be seen cradling the bottle as he and his girlfriend Amber Rose were snapped; he is also seen sharing the bottle with Pete Wentz, and in a different shot, West is standing near Joe Jackson, who is holding it. Following his rant against Swift, West returned to his seat and flipped off the audience, who began booing him, before he sat down.

He was booed again in the show when Diddy announced the nominees for Best Male Video. "What I say?" Diddy asked, as the boos rained down.

West had already left Radio City Music Hall by then, however.

What Kanye did was wrong but really wtf was Pink going to do to
Kanye? Get her ass beat.

Baby, puhlease! Pink was gon' get all up in that nucca ass. And rightfully so cuz that bitch's ass whuppin' is way overdue.

It doesn't matter what your opinion of the artist is. She WON and has a right to give her speech uninterrupted like anybody else without fear that some punk ass nutjob is gonna come up on stage with some bullshit. So you're an advocate of muthafuckas being rude douche bags??? Cool. Good to know. thumbs up!

Whatever. If you know nothing about the girl, then why question whether she writes her own songs or not? And, if you think it's cool to act like an ass by disrupting a show, ONCE AGAIN, then that says a lot about you and a lack of manners.

I'm sure Kanye's own mother would be very disappointed in his behavior, as he admitted in HIS ALL CAPS BLOG ENTRY.
[Edited 9/14/09 0:42am]

Exactly. I don't own a single one of Taylor's records but I can tell from the little that I have heard that she actually has much more REAL, natural talent than Bounshay any day o' the damn week. But regardless, being so rude to anyone, but particularly a child, is inexcusable but par for the course for 'ye. One day he'll pull a stunt on the wrong muthafucka and get a foot all in his ignant ass. I just pray to the baby Jesus that it's internationally televised. beg

what an asshole Kanye West is.

He insults a 17 year old girl when she is getting an award, how sad is that?

for fucks sake, a 17 year old girl let me repeat. Kanye West is a grown man and a fucking pathetic excuse for a musician.

Whether the video was better or not, the fact is that it was the fans choice.
If Taylor has more fans than sascha cock then how is it Taylor's fault???

Um, no.

That is not a way to turn the situation to anyone's favor. I understand it's just a silly video awards show, but by the same token, it's still not a kindergarden, and there's no reason why grown adults need to behave as if they're fighting over who has the most LEGOS confused

The interesting thing about this is that it's abundantly clear that Kanye, as usual, was simply trying to turn the center of attention on himself.

That rant had nothing to do at all with uplifting Beyonce and shining light on her, vs. everything to do with making sure all eyes were on him.

But you know what? Sometimes the way the universe works is when you are ill-intentioned, karma flips the script on your ass and smacks you in the face with the garbage you spew out.

He tried to disguise some bullshit as a gift and has now been left holding the bag.

The only thing he succeeded in was exposing himself as a meglomaniac who is spiraling so fast into madness that he now picks on kids to get his ego rocks off. Bad move. His antics only gave Beyonce Knowles a rare opportunity to show a degree of class and grace not seen on this type of show in years. Moreover the buzz on this 17 year old child Taylor Swift is through the roof and the public is rallying behind her. He pulled a self-serving cheap stunt, it backfired, so now he has to be a big boy and take the backlash he chose to bring on himself.

That's what happens when you piss on somebody's head, then try to tell them it's raining

I usually take up for Kanye in here, but this time, I've just had it with him. That was just plain rude. It wasn't that surprising that he would do that, but it still was rude as hell. Beyonce isn't my favorite person in the world, but what she did to allow that girl to come back on stage to have her moment was just so gracious. I have mad respect for her now. It would had been nice if Taylor would have thanked Beyonce for allowing her to come up on stage too during her thank you speech instead of just hugging her, but thats just me. confused
