I love her voice, her themes, her performance chops, her visual mastery- all of it. I haven't liked her recent material (at all), but for the most part from 1983-2005, she was just wonderful for me.

I was a big fan until I saw her live. I don't really like her music now, but still love the old stuff. It's just out of all the people I've seen in concert, she is without a doubt the coldest person with probably the least amount of stage presence of them all. I'm trying to see all the major superstars that I like of my time and I think I only have a few to go, but hands down Madonna's been the least exciting.

i find her to be a good singer, on record and live. sure not a powerhouse vocalist, but she does well with what she's got.

as for the not so great lyrics, well, this world would be one hell of a bore without the madonnas and kylies of music hmph!

Well...don't gays have a different take on Madonna anyway?...she is sort of 'gay friendly' and a gay icon of sorts...yes?

peace

.

Good one!!!

The 80's were the years when video's and MTV were upcoming and one of the most popular media's in entertainment business. Image might be overdone today to some but back then it was a big thing.
