Mick Jackson (THE main songwriter of The Jacksons' AND Big Fun's Blame It On The Boogie) Mick's version was release as a UK single just a few days AFTER The Jacksons' version was release as a USA single. And yes, The Jacksons' version was the bigger hit in the late 70's. Big Fun's version was also a hit in the UK during the peak of the Stock Atiken Waterman (The Hit Factory) production sound in the late 80's & early 90's. | |

It's not that bad, big fun's version makes me laugh though.
the jacksons version even without michael's vocals got such great instrumentation and production though. (nathan watts on bass) well since we know the jacksons are not the original, we can say it's easily one of the best covers ever. | |
