hmmm so,it looks like these are the *missing* videos....

Everybody
Oh Father
This Used To Be My Playground
Bad Girl (arguably her best video)
Fever
Love Don't Live Here Anymore
You Must Love Me
Drowned World/Substitute For Love
Nothing Really Matters
American Life

Most of these videos are easy to find elsewhere, but it's a shame that the original,un-edited "American Life" video isn't on this set.I was hoping that it would finally get an official release, now that the anti-war controversy of 2003 has died down considerably.

Some good news: the "Justify My Love" video has some extra footage that we've seen never seen before. We will finally get to see the full,un-edited video.

Not giving us "American Life" is typical white washing Madonna. "Bad Girl" is excellent....makes no sense! I mean, "Love Profusion"? The missing videos are absurd, especially considering there are so few of them. Maybe "Everybody" (it's very rough and I don't think got airplay) and "You Must Love Me" (it was pretty much straight from the movie, right?) but some of those are insane to keep off! Will we ever get to have AL on a format? It's definately her missing video at this point...I guess she really hates the song, too. Really sad. Kind of surprised so many movie songs made the cut considering the debate we were having. Guess it didn't really matter.

Madonna hates AL, is ashamed and embarrased by AL. And coz RIT was full of AL, it will never get released. Madonna would be glad if AL will be forgotten completely in the future.

Guess it's wishful thinking to hope that there could be Easter eggs on this DVD collection- rare videos (American Life), live TV performances...Bowie did that with his 2 disc video collection wink

That could make sense. I mean, why hasn't RIT been released yet? It's very unfortunate for those that have not seen the tour. Not having the video on there is a huge snub! Honestly, after seeing it, it's not great but it's sure interesting. To not have it on here is just dumb. It could be a selling point. She's too fucking stubborn! Considering how much is missing from "Celebration" the DVD, it is unlikely we'll get a full DVD set. She sucks!

Guys you are so negative. First of all I couldn't care less about the videos already included in the two other compilations. Those are definitely her best videos but we already have them. So why all the complaining about Bad Girl etc? If you want them buy the dvd. Second OK You Must Love Me should have been there because it is not completely made up from movie stills (like Crazy For You and Into The Groove). But it is definitely not a major ommision. I am pleasantly surprised on how many soundtrack videos are included. Third as far as American Life is concerned probably it wasn't included because it is a collection of promo videos and the good video of that song was used for a promo only for a day or two and then there was the horrible flag version. OK it would be nice to have it and it is the only major omission in my opinion but still it is not the end of the world. As for the RIT the reason why it never got released is probably the same as the BAT: not to hurt the sales of the documentaries. I know it is stupid but that sounds more logical to me than the she hates AL theory.

I believe "Blonde Ambition" came after "I'm Breathless"....Hmmm...

I don't know if she hates "American Life" but that's certainly an odd lost opportunity. It honestly just doesn't make much sense. "Bad Girl", "Drowned World" and to a lesser extent "Fever" are great videos (I've lost all hope for "...Playground" since she just totally forgot that one). For that video not to be on there, something's up!

difference being Madge's children got death threats for the AL video and that was the ultimate reason the video was pulled. vs JML or Erotica when it was just about Madonna.

Kids are fine. Release it!
Even though those people are manics and nobody should succumb to terrorism over their art, I can understand why that one might be personally upsetting to her if that was the case.
So what is her problem with "Oh Father" and "Bad Girl"? They proved she could act?

Despite my love of both of those songs, their music videos never really impressed me. I think it would be a shame to have those to and omit lesser known but Great videos like "I want you" and "Power of Goodbye"
However I am VERY upset DW/SFL is missing! its such a gorgeous video and works very well for the song.

oh please, she doesn't hate American Life. if she did, Hollywood wouldn't be on there and that's practically the most boring song on the whole album. not only that, it's her first single to not his the US Hot 100 in the 20 years before it was released.

PS: the original AL video sucks on so many levels and I'm glad she pulled it. the song, married with the video, is all the worst there is in pop superstardom and the stupid bullshit they try to pass off as art as political statement.

8) "American Life" Goes Back In The Vault
From the too-hot-for-TV "Justify My Love" longform video to the cross-burning epic "Like A Prayer," Madonna has made some controversial, even outright banned music videos. But in the case of the 2003 video for American Life's title track, the censorship was self-inflicted. Madonna's original "American Life" video was blatantly anti-war, some might even say unpatriotic, and given the flak (and death threats) the Dixie Chicks had recently received after their little "we're ashamed George Bush is from Texas" remark, Madonna wasn't taking any chances. Her choice to shelve the video was a rare moment of conservatism from a woman who'd never before seemed to care one bit if she offended anyone and everyone. In a way, this was actually a little disappointing. Even more disappointing was the quickly slapped-together video released in the aborted video's place, which resembled a public-access cable show with its cheapo, not-so-special, green-screen effects. Compare and contrast the original and revised versions of "American Life" below

this is the best i can do right now, because there are too many recent stories to shift through. Apparently Madge just received a creditable death threat in Serbia
Madonna has stepped up security on her world tour after receiving death threats in Serbia, according to a new report.

The Material Girl arrived in Belgrade, Serbia, in disguise to perform her Sticky and Sweet concert in front of 30,000 fans on Monday.

The controversial star took extra precautions after receiving threatening messages, hiring a posse of bodyguards to protect her as she took the stage in the Serbian capital for the first time, reports British tabloid The Daily Star.

The worried singer will also be accompanied by the minders in neighboring Romania, where she is set to play a gig on Wednesday.

I agree.Like the CD,this DVD is far from perfect but instead of dwelling on what it doesn't have,I think we should be happy that it includes 27 videos that have never been released on a video collection:

Burning Up
Crazy For You
Into The Groove
Live To Tell
True Blue
Who's That Girl
Justify My Love
(including never-before-seen footage)
Erotica
Deeper And Deeper
I'll Remember
I Want You
You'll See
American Pie
Music
Don't Tell Me
What It Feels Like For A Girl
Die Another Day
Hollywood
Love Profusion
Hung Up
Sorry
Get Together
Jump
4 Minutes
Give It 2 Me
Miles Away
Celebration

Yes,"Bad Girl" is an amazing video but we already have it on the previous video compilation. For me,the only real disappointment is that the original,un-edited "American Life" video isn't included. That's the one I was most excited about, but it's not like I can't find it on Youtube, lol.

Think of it this way: With this newly released DVD,plus the two previous video compilations,we pretty much have all of her music videos now.We have all of the important ones that matter, plus some rare videos. No more going to Youtube trying to find this stuff.Let's face it,it's unlikely that Prince would ever release something like this.We should be thrilled.

and consider this: there are only a handful of Madonna videos that are not available on a video compilation:

Everybody
Dress You Up
(and it's just a live performance from the Virgin Tour anyway)
Gambler
Dear Jessie
You Must Love Me
American Life

So,with this new DVD,we will have the cream of the crop.I know that we're all completists and we want everything (lol),but damn, this is ALOT of Madonna we're getting.
