And MEEEEE! HC is definitely as infectious as her 80s pop stuff!

And me also. I have listened to it at least once a day since it has been released. It's just perfect.

I'm still not tired of 'Hard Candy' lol I still listen to"Miles Away" everyday, and usually "Heartbeat" too.I often like to start my day with "Give It 2 Me"...that song is so uptempo and fun, with a really positive message! It motivates you to get out there and take on the world.

since they aren't actually "WB" anymore, but "WMG" (Warner Music Group) after splitting from AOL-Time-Warner (or whatever the hell it's called), that would make sense.

That shouldn't be awkward! I suppose if they are only distributors, that would mean that Madonna and Live nation would be in charge of promo.

As for the DVD, if it is a WB release, I wouldn't be shocked if it went the way of the promised "Re-Invention" DVD! i can't imagine they'll release it this year (although frankly, putting it out WITH "Celebration" would be smart...the Beatles aren't releasing their remasters one at time!).

I don't like it. It sounds like the HC stuff I hate. I also don't like how her voice sounds. She sounds bored.

sounds like a britney track.

does anyone else wish she would just sang the shit out of something again, like she used to? i mean, yeah, vocal training and all that, but her vocals are so lazy and boring lately.

I don't mind the clip- it's only a few seconds, but I do miss the belter of a more open, expressive Madonna that came with Ray Of Light

I agree. I think because the song was originally written for someone else, it's style doesn't suit her voice. She sounds bored on it because she's not emotionally involved in it.

i'm talking about the pre-Evita/ROL vocal training Madonna. Express Yourself, Open Your Heart, etc.

she sounds that way to me on songs she wrote herself in the last 10 years. especially on Hard Candy.

Revolver is typical pop of today... and she gets away with it because she's Madonna...

but she has to do something with more substance in the future to maintain her status.

She had a lot of work with the tour and adoption this year, and I understand she did not have the time to come up with sth. original. Both, C and R were supposedly already finsihe when she came in. It surely was the same with the TIC tracks.

To me, she sounds that way on Hard Candy, but not on other albums like Confessions and American Life which I love. It just seems she's not as involved in the writing as she used to be. A lot of the HC songs were demos done by Timbaland and she just changed a few parts.

Nah, RIT had the excuse of the documentary, while surely they want to release the "second biggest grossing tour ever". We don't know how far they went with editing the RIT Lisbon show, but we know S&ST Buenos Aires is done.

Incorrect, there's no evidence that the Timbaland songs were done like that (especially since the last 2 songs on HC came from demos by Madonna herself), you probably refer to "Heartbeat" & "Spanish Lesson" having the Pharrell vocal demonstration but there's no proof they were written before Madonna's involvement.

"Revolver" is like "Open Your Heart", "Justify My Love", "Ray Of Light", "Don't Tell Me" or "Nothing Fails", she got a finished song and changed some bits, nothing new for her.

Amen. All of this Hard Candy love is making me sick. Anyone could have been singing most of those songs.

Agreed - i like her voice actually around Bedtime Stories/STR the best. That clip of her singing live in studio (the spanish version of You'll See) was prolly around when she started vocally training for Evita, but she sounded BOMB! She also sounded FANTASTIC on "I Want You..." - all the passion of her 80s self with a bigger range, more control, and a little better engineering in recording technology.
I'll leave it alone babe...just be me
