The album cover is growing on me, but it's funny that I like the Whitney version better. "Whitney was purely and simply one of a kind." ~ Clive Davis

"Miles Away" is a great song..and i think it will age well. it actually had a couple decent remixes too. and though it seems most fans didn't care for "Ring My Bell", i quite enjoy that track. i think this album did a good job of incorporating her early sound. i.e. "Heartbeat", "Beat Goes On". "Give It To Me" also had some great remixes. i've not been a fan of remixes in a while. Yeah, that's what I love most about Hard Candy.....the producers did a superb job of capturing her 80s sound, but bringing it into 2008."Give It To Me","Heartbeat" and "Beat Goes On" could have appeared on any of her 80s albums. The latter sounds like a long-lost 1987 outtake (minus the Kanye West rap). The biggest surprise about this album is,it's not really hip-hop at all."4 Minutes" is the only song with a hip-hop feel.Everything else can be considered dance/pop."She's Not Me" and "Dance 2Night" are homages to early 80s R&B.

I don't think it totally works but it has some enjoyable enough moments so I don't think it's one of her worst. But it's defiantly the one where she relinquishes the most control since maybe "Like A Virgin"!

The 12" is on vinyl, right? What about the entire 2-disc set? Will that be on vinyl too? These days,I buy all of Madonna's albums on vinyl. The 'Hard Candy' vinyl album is really impressive....a superb package with colored vinyl, huge fold-out pics, and even a bonus CD of the album.I hope they do something similiar for Celebration.

I haven't even bought the single so far. Stupid: a 3-track single costs well over 6 EUR. If I'd only buy the two singles, I'd easily pay 13 Euro... And then I might as well buy the album. Record labels are soooo to blame for their decreasing sales...
