Your first Prince 45s, LPs, CDs, etc.

Hi, taking the idea from Brother915's topic,

what were everybody's first Prince items for the following:

7"
12"
CD single
Cassingle
LP
CD
DVD/VCD/LD/Video

Here's my response:

7": When Doves Cry/17 Days
12": Mountains (I can't remember clearly!)
CD single: Scandalous Sex Suite (Japanese)
Cassingle: Gett Off
LP: Batman
CD: Diamonds and Pearls
DVD/VCD/LD/Video: The Undertaker
Life it ain't real funky unless you got that orgPop.

And;
MOST excited about the releases of;

7"; Thieves In The Temple. Danced myself silly to that.
12"; Sign Of The TImes, properly hyped.
CD single. New Power Generation; all those mixes moved me then, bore me now.
Cassingle; TMBGITW- Mustang. Cuz I did not hve the cd single yet.LP; Sign Of The Times. BEautiful art design. Ouch.
CD; Diamonds and Pearls. Working in the music biz gave me lots of extra's; esp the free hologram stickers (big ones) that I kinda held for myself. All of them. Horrid, huh?
DVD/video; Under The Cherry Moon; my fave Prince movie; too funny.

The first Prince album I bought was the Purple Rain cassette. I played that baby until it wouldn't play no more and I had to get a new one!

Half of this stuff I had to save up my allowence to get.

Are you sure it wasn't available on vinyl? I'm pretty sure it was, but not too easy to find.
