best classic MOTOWN song Right now for me it's GET READY by The Temptations. Incredibly exciting, tight funky pop song. Love it. Everytime it comes on I gotta move my feet. Great lead vocal, and love the way the chorus just explodes.
Love it. what are your faves? * * *

Well, when I think of the Motown sound, this is the first one that comes to mind:

Absolutely no way in hell I could choose just one.
The Love I Saw In You Was Just A Mirage - Smokey Robinson & The Miracles Hey Love - Stevie Wonder 2-4-6-8 - Jackson 5 This Old Heart Of Mine (Is Weak For You) - The Isley Bros. What Becomes Of The Broken Hearted - Jimmy Ruffin Those are some of my favs. Amongst probably no less than three dozen others.

I would have guessed "My Girl" to be the most covered Motown track. Although I have heard plenty of "Grapevine" covers too, now that you've mentioned it.
