To me, people like Spike Lee, John Singleton, the Hudlin Brothers, etc. were more about the art of film making. Tyler is all about the dollar. It's like Tyler's movies set us back 20 years. Watching a movie like Boomerang back with a Tyler flick is an embarrassment.

Another issue may be that Tyler does it all himself and he's not a trained film director/editor. If he would hire real professionals, maybe his movies would take on a different perspective.
