I am truly flabbergasted at people trying to say Janet Jackson isn't talented. One thing to not like an artist, another thing to live in FantasyWorld about what they can and cannot do.

What used to get me with Janet is I did think she lipped synched a lot, and then I realized...she sounds just like her songs when she is live. That's actually very rare for most artists. And her voice is actually pretty strong. And she maintains control even while dancing!

Anyway I have nothing but love for Ms. Janet and I'm happy to join the dance party. dancing jig dancing jig dancing jig

Paula can dance through. Gurl can dance her ass off. I never said Janet couldn't dance. you can just see that a lot of her dance moves come from Paula and Michael. Sorry she is not in Michael's league and never will be. BOTTOM LINE.

Of course Paula is a better dancer than Janet.

Look at her tap dancing in Straight Up music video.

So?? Janet was tap dancing on the Jackson Variety show when she was 8!

I agree about Mimi. I went to the tour in Dallas and was floored at how bad her stage prescence was. She did not command the stage at all. I LOVE Mimi and Janet. I just think JJ knows how to work the stage better than Mimi.

I bought the Mimi DVD because I thought that maybe I just saw a bad show. Well, I was wrong. The DVD captured what I remember about the show.

Yeah Mariah can't sing as good as she used to sing in a live format.

I think something happened to her vocal cords later on in her career, cause its hard for her to sing like she used to sing earlier in her career.

As everythings digital these days i never read the sleeve notes of records anymore - and i totally overlooked the fact that she worked with Dallas Austin, and Babyface on this record. There's some great cuts on this album. if she'd chopped out the section from Warmth to Truly - it would have flowed so much better. With that section though it just seems to drag on and on.

So true. I like these tracks, but could have done without a lot of the interludes and crap. If some of the outtakes for this project would have made it, this album would have damn-near been perfect.
