See what I mean, you had them mistaken for a band. That's because of the presence of INSTRUMENTS on the damn song. I hear bass, I hear synths, it's got a nice groove, and even if you aren't into the lyrics (which are entertaining also), the music behind it was entertaining also. Ever notice that early rap was all on 12 Inches and the B Side was the instrumental? That's because there was music behind the lyrics that sounded just as good. Hell, the most popular version of "Planet Rock" is the instrumental. Even if the rappers didn't have the talent to play instruments themselves, they had the taste to get someone to come up with an original groove and play instruments on the record.

And just listen to the sound of the voices in the song. They are smooth almost like DJ voices. None of those ignorant sounding voices that sound like the motherfucker on the corner waiting to rob you.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, people that hate today's music is not a matter of getting older at all. Today's music IS bullshit and it's because of a lack of talent, imagination, and taste (not to mention motherfuckers being CHEAP). Even the rappers back in the day had talent. It's like that, and that's the way it IS dammitt. Uh....don't get me started on these little thugs today or I'll get my damn blood pressure up. lol
