The drive, money, the dogs (no one to care for them), Sally is in DC grant reviewing so the time off was going to be a problem. But it was mostly the drive. Sometimes I totally can't stand myself.

the whole trip was best summed up by the name of grace's album: HURRICANE. we saw it all and did it all, in a ridiculously small amount of time.

And so happy for all who managed to see this tour! It looks like she has a few new outfits compared to when I saw her.

AND it looks like she got the audience she deserved - some right boring, miserable at the gig I went to. One couple got the staff to give some man a warning because he was dancing!

i was so overcome with emotion during the entire performance of that song. i've never seen anything that HUGE, that immense or sinister or ultimately ICONIC, ever in my life. she just completely owned my reality for the space of that song, if not for the whole show.

yes, it was the very first time i ever got to experience grace.

i think the other highlight of the night was when we hauled ass to get to the venue - and it was a WHOLE DAY of hauling ass to get there from MPLS - but when we finally arrived at the venue, grace was already on stage, dressed as the devil, belting out "demolition man", and the next thing i knew, TRON was standing behind us asking if we wanted something toxic from the bar. i really couldn't have asked for a better welcome.

I'm not sure if she did it at your show but, at the one I went to, off-stage - during the costume changes - she kept making all these innuendo-laden, filthy comments. It was hilarious.

Best concert I've ever gone to. I am so happy I got to see Grace with some of the best people in the world. I cannot wait for Nathan to post the rest of the pictures!!!
