MUST 'MISS' Albums of 2009

?

They're either:

1. Dissapointing

2. Overhyped

3. or by an act/band you just loath.

4. related to the band Creed in ANY fashion.

What albums are 'must miss' events so far in 2009?

I'd list Elixer, but I haven't even listened to it. lol That said, I suppose it does fit the bill as I did miss it entirely.

Yep all of those, and how could you forget Diddy's Last Train to Paris? Can you say that this is gonna be another example of an artist carelessly coping Prince's classic style? I was cracking up at tonight's episode of 'Making His Band.' I won't watch another episode or pick up this junk.

I just checked, and of all the albums I've listened to/rated this year, it's the lowest at 2.5 stars. That doesn't make it a "muss miss" for me, but... just sayin' it's at the bottom of this year's pile so far lol

I think the question is has anybody a bad "deaf buy" (as opposed to "blind buy")? I think with the internet, it happens very rarely know doesn't it? I certaintly don't buy all that many new CDs because I know most of the time I'll be disappointed. Unless it's an artist I really like, I'm cautious. Heck, even with the case of Elvis Costello, I didn't buy his new recording since I was let down by the last one.

You didn't like Momofuku?! That was his best in ages.

The only thing I'd say miss on this year that I've heard is the new Conner Oberst. Not that it's bad or anything, just really disappointing in how ordinary it is.

The only one that i bought that is horrific is the new Lionel Richie, just bad, sorry Lionel, you need to wake up, the fact you called this your best record is a sad sad statement, you need to write again, and not let Akon and Ne-Yo craft your work to sound just like everyone elses, poor release, more artistry on the new Ashley Tisdale record
