Big fan of his brother Neil and Crowded House, but this guy is magic too! We're here, might as well get into it.

Ooh, a Tim Finn thread on the Org!
Crowded House is my favorite band and Neil Finn is my favorite songwriter, but I like Tim, too. I've met him a couple of times and he's a great guy. Here are some of my favorites by him (my two faves, "In Love With It All" and "Young Mountain" aren't on YouTube): Persuasion [1993] How'm I Gonna Sleep [1989] What You've Done [2001] My favorite Enz songs by Tim: Split Enz - Poor Boy [1980] Split Enz - My Mistake [1977] Some favorites Tim wrote with Neil: Crowded House - How Will You Go [1991] (performed live by the Finn Brothers) The Finn Brothers - Anything Can Happen [2004] The Finn Brothers - The Land Torments the Sea [2004] The Finn Brothers - Paradise (Wherever You Are) [1995] (performed live by the Finn Brothers with some special guests) Bonus: Eddie Vedder & Tim Finn - I See Red (Live) [2001] "Whitney was purely and simply one of a kind." ~ Clive Davis

Wow yeah, a couple of those songs i hadn't heard before, "paradise", "land torments the sea", very nice. Been a fan of Crowded house for years, but only recently bothered checking out Tim's music. Picked up the Before and After and the Self Titled albums, both seem really underrated, just about on par with Crowded house, "in your sway" has to be his most beautiful song though. We're here, might as well get into it.

"Paradise" is from the first Finn Brothers album from 1995. You should check that one out. It's pretty lo-fi and has a lot of charm. Angels Heap Suffer Never Only Talking Sense "The Land Torments the Sea" is a b-side from their second album, Everyone Is Here, from 2004. Lots of great songs from those sessions from that one: Won't Give In Way Back Down Part of Me, Part of You Edible Flowers Been a fan of Crowded house for years, but only recently bothered checking out Tim's music. Before & After and Tim Finn are my favorites of his along with later albums Feeding the Gods (2001) and Imaginary Kingdom (2006). I'd pick those up next if I were you. Tim was fantastic in Split Enz. Such incrediably intense live shows back in those days. I really like his song writing now, but my fav song is when he was in Split enz singing 'Time for a change' (Written by Phil Judd) My name is Naz!!! and I have a windmill where my brain is supposed to be.....

Yeah i'd like to check that Finn Brothers album out from '95,those songs sound real good , kind of low key and dark, I've haerd "Angels Heap" somewhere before, really beautiful song. That album is quite hard to find though, even here in New zealand, maybe i could just download it, might be easiest. We're here, might as well get into it.
